I rest all of the items I have on the counter as I paid for it. The cashier looks really brunt out, probably having a rough day or just a long shift.
"The total for that would be $9,530 sir" she looked at me, and her expression of stress and irritation, suddenly turned into a warm and happy face.
I used my debit card to pay for it and I thanked the lady before walking away from the counter. Once I got some distance from them, her and another person started chattering behind my back.
"Isn't that guy handsome?"
"Yeah, he looked like a model!"
"He's really polite too"
I'm very used to this, people obssesing over my looks. Girls always say they feel love at first sight when they see me. But all of my exes said the same thing to me.
"You're nothing but a pretty face, I don't love you anymore"
I've always tried my best to treat anyone the best way I can, and that includes my exes. I'd do things that I'm not really comfortable doing, just so I can satisfy them. I'd spend lavishly for them, buy them expensive gifts, go on expensive vacations. But in the end, they all just left me.
I exited the Dior store and saw a really huge tower from a distance, the eiffel tower. Yes, I'm in Paris, the city of love. Ironic isn't it? This is supposed to be the city of love, not the city of the heart broken.
I walked around and saw a lot of couples doing couple stuff. Kissing, hugging, holding hands, exchanging gifts. And then there's me, walking alone through the huge crowd of people.
I've always wanted to go here, preferably with someone that loves me and would stay will me forever. Alas, that probably wouldn't happen anytime soon. So I got impatient and went here by myself.
Who knows? Maybe the city of love's magic will somehow work on me and maybe I can find my soulmate here. That's very unlikely, but a man can hope right?
After a while, I got tired of walking around I just sat inside my car. I pulled my phone out and looked for something to do that would cure my boredom.
I really have nothing to do so I just opened tinder, and started swiping away. I couldn't really find anyone my type there, I kept swiping away. That was before I saw this girl. Her face just looked stunning. Wait she looks familiar, she looks like that one actress. I looked at her name and there it was.
"Hwang Yeji, 25"
Yep, that's definetely her. I immideately swiped right. And I was surprised that I matched with her. I was pretty nervous since she's an actress, a high class celebrity.
Yeji: Hey
Y/N: Hi, are you really THE Hwang Yeji?
Yeji: Yeah ofcourse
Y/N: How would I know you're actually her?
Yeji: Want me to send a picture?
Y/N: Sure, do one with a peace sign
Yeji:
