Michael’s POV ~

I turn my head and freeze just staring at the phone not knowing who the mysterious caller is although suspicions quickly swirl inside my head. I eventually find the phone buried under one of the couch cushions and try going through our recent calls to try and call back. I read the screen quickly.

5:47am Call: 0:12 minutes – Unknown.

I throw the phone across the room and begin to sob quietly worrying if Heather’s going to be safe or if she’s in danger from someone out to hurt her.

“Hey, what was that loud bang?” Dwayne asks emerging from the bedroom rubbing his eye rid of sleep.

“Hey, sorry if I woke you” I apologize. “I just got some strange phone call from someone saying I should hope Heather has a safe flight because they’d hate for something bad to happen to her”

“Did they say that to you?” Dwayne asks sitting down in the lounge room with me

“Message bank, I tried to grab the phone but couldn’t find it and when I did the number was unknown so I got annoyed and threw it. That was the bang you heard sorry” I reply sheepishly.

“I don’t mind, I’d like to know who’s threatening your friend’s though. That doesn’t fly past me okay one bit what so ever”

“Do you think it might be James? He said things weren’t over” I ask

“He probably meant that to you, I don’t see why he’d hurt Heather”

“She did kick him in the nuts though”

“I’ll go make us some breakfast; maybe you should try giving Heather a call before her flight leaves?” Dwayne asks heading into the kitchen grabbing the toaster on the way.

“I’ll go give her a call now, be back in a few babe” I reply making my way to our bedroom.

I open the door as I begin to open my contacts and scroll to Heather and call her.

“C’mon Heather pick up, pick up” I whisper into the phone as the dial tone continues.

Hey sexy person with my phone number, I’m not able to answer at the moment but leave a message and I’ll call you back ASAP”

Voicemail. I leave a message for her to call me back because it’s urgent and I send a text asking her also.

I start pacing around the room wondering if I should call her back or if she’s in International Air Space sound asleep watching Pitch Perfect on her way to London. I decide to call one more time, just to be on the safe side.

“Yellloooo babeh cakes? What’s up?” Her cheery voice answers.

“Thank god, can you talk or are you about to leave?” I ask

“I still have another 30 minutes before boarding, I was getting an iced tea from Starbucks, is everything okay? You sound worried” She asks

“Just after you left s-someone called and said they hope y-y-you have a safe flight because they’d h-hate for something bad to h-h-happen to you” I stutter trying to speak a million miles an hour.
