Aliyah took William's keys and drove his impala. William watched the both of them drive off toward Aliyah's house. Aliyah was crying and so was Victoria. Aliyah tried shushing her and she kept saying it would be okay, even though that might not be true.
Why? Why does this have to happen to me? Aliyah kept thinking to herself. I do everything for William and he goes behind me back and starts being with another girl. Aliyah parked in front of her house. "It's okay baby girl," she unbuckled Victoria from her seat, "Everything is okay." Aliyah wiped the runny mascara from her face. She unlocked the door. "Okay," Aliyah sighed, "Come on, let's play with the toys over there!" She tried to be excited as possible.
Aliyah didn't go out of the house for the next few days until one day, she had a knock in her door. When she opened it up, there was a basket full of roses and a teddy bear holding a card. Aliyah opened and read the card out loud. "Dearest Ali, I'm sorry for what happened. I want to let you know that I'm not cheating on you, and I admire you a lot," Admire? Why can't he say love? "I don't want us to split. But if you don't wanna come back, I understand. Best regards, William Neeson." Aliyah threw away the letter. I swear sometimes I think he is on heroin like his brother. Aliyah stopped dead in her tracks. Victor. The name made her sad. She missed Victor, a lot. A tear ran down her face. "Oh Victor, I wish you could see your niece Victoria." She said to herself.
For the next few days, teddy bears kept showing up at her door step. She was out of the house, but not much. She only went out to either buy more food or go to work (which was only Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at Styles 4 Less). Aliyah's boss allowed Aliyah to bring Victoria to work and to leave her in the Employees Only lunch room. One Monday afternoon, William walked in the store, drunk. "I'm here to pick up Vicky." he mumbled. Aliyah crossed her arms. "I don't think I should hand her over." William looked confused yet stupid at the same time. "Why the hell not?" He was definitely drunk. "I don't want my baby around a drunken man and his buddies." He looked around and finally asked, "Is she here with you?" Aliyah was pissed that he came to her work drunk. "Yes she is. Now please leave before I kick your ass." He started to walk away when he turned to look at her. He smiled and said, "I almost forgot. Here," he gave her a teddy bear, "Love you." He walked out the store stumbling. Aliyah's eyes filled with tears and she whispered, "That was the first time he ever said I love you." Her boss walked up behind her concerned. "Who was that handsome fellow?" She had a smile on. Aliyah gasped and then answered, "That's my boyfriend." She wiped her tears. "Oh honey what did he do to you?" Her boss asked. Aliyah cried. "I gave him my heart and he threw it away." Aliyah ran to the lunch room. "I need to go," she told her boss. Her boss put her hand on her shoulder. "Take the rest of the week off." And with that said, Aliyah drove home, and she still had his car.
