Unexpected

The golden sunrays woke Thor from his sleep . It was highly ooc of Thor to wake up that early and that easily . He couldn't have a deep sleep knowing he'll be left on his own if Loki leaves . He stared blankly at the fire place trying to think something when Loki opened the door .

"I thought you were sound asleep ..." Loki said a bit startled but continued "So ... Let's go ?"

"Yeah .. I just woke up . Lead the way . "

Loki hated how blunt that was but didn't say anything . The duo walked in complete silence until they reached a room that Thor never knew existed .

"This is more or less like bifrost ,but the limitation is that you will be able to travel only to midgard and Jotunheim . And Heimdal is an obstacle ... You'll have to take care of him before using this or You'll be caught  ." Loki explained .

"Loki... When are you leaving ?" Thor asked completely absentminded .

"Why? You want me to go soon? You're stuck with me until tomorrow evening , brother ." Loki attempted to joke but he himself didn't smile .

"No ! It's not what I meant..."

Thor was cut off by a large crashing sound outside the palace . The princes rushed out to see what had happened .

"Thanos.... " Loki announced to Thor after seeing large spaceships flying above Asgard .

"The mad titan ?! How do you know ??" Thor asked completely confused .

"Because ... there he is ", Loki pointed on the terrace of the palace . The purple titan stood there proudly . Thor immediately swung his hammer and made his way towards him . Loki rushed to the aid of the people. Soon the soldiers and Odin gathered . The war had already begun .

Loki helped the commoners to the underground chambers safely before joining the war . Thor and Thanos were engaged in a fight and Odin quickly aided Thor . Loki decided to help the soldiers as there were too many chitauris coming . Loki blasted a 20-30 of them in a single icy blast . They didn't expect ice blasts in Asgard . The war lasted for many hours but showed no sign of ending . Unfortunately Thanos had the upper hand .

" Thor !! There are too many !! The bifrost can't stop them !!" Loki shouted at Thor and Thanos grinned .

Suddenly Thanos' attention turned towards Loki . "The chosen prince ?" he asked impressed . Odin , Thor and Loki looked confused but didn't question it . That was when Thor heard someone in his subconsciousness . It said ," Thor . It's me Loki . don't fight it . The bifrost is the only way the chitauris are entering through . Destroy it after pushing the titan out of it . Then we can handle the chitauris . We don't stand a chance now . " Thor didn't think twice before leading the titan towards the bifrost . Loki followed them killing a few chitauris on the way . Thor managed to make a powerful lightning and aimed it on Thanos with full force . The titan stumbled out of the bifrost . Thor quickly took the chance to break the bifrost . But the duo didn't expect a powerful energy blast when the bifrost shattered . The princes were blown upwards . Thor grabbed Loki's hands while Odin managed to grab Thor's legs Thus preventing neither of them from falling into the void .

Loki noticed that Odin wouldn't be able to pull both of them up . Thor understood what his brother was thinking immediately .

"Loki No . "

Loki glanced one last time at Thor and let go .

"Loki !!!! NOOO!!!!"

Note:-
I know Odin is too powerful to struggle with Thanos 😂 I just didn't want to give him glorious scenes. Sorry.  I will try in upcoming chapters.
