M/C POV

I wake up to the train conductor announcing that we are only 10 minutes away from Duskwood. I look outside and notice fog for miles, it looks like the beginning of a horror movie. I worry about how dangerous this could be, but I must do this for my friends, for Jake. My thoughts are interrupted when I get a text from lily

Lily Online

Lily: Hey are you almost here? I am so excited!

M/C Online

M/C: Hey yes! About 5 min out!

As nervous as I am that something could go wrong at any point during this visit. I am glad I get to finally meet my friends in person. It's just not the same over text.

Anthony: Hey M/C I've been thinking about you;) how about we pretend like it didn't happen & start over. I am sorry, you know I didn't mean it.

Ugh why is he messaging me I thought I blocked his number. He must be out on probation if he is able to text me. Anthony is my narcissistic ex. 6 months ago I finally built up the courage to leave him once he almost killed me for the second time by beating the living shit out of me. The fight ended when he stabbed me in the thigh for trying to leave him. There was so much damage that they had to cut a piece of my thigh muscle out. My thigh will never look the same. I am very insecure about it & haven't worn a dress, shorts or basically anything that will show off my legs. I got a restraining order, but that clearly isn't going to stop him. I haven't told Jake about him because we don't really get much time for small talk. Plus, I'm worried he might take one look at my leg think it's gross then never talk to me again.

M/C: Leave me alone Anthony.

That was all I was going to say, and I blocked him again.

I look up and the train comes to stop. I am finally here! My legs are numb from sitting for so long. I get up take a big stretch, grab my luggage and head out to find Lily.

I step off the train & look around and notice a beautiful blonde girl about 5"3 starring down at her phone.

M/C: Lily!

I yelled. She looked up at me with a huge grin on her face. We ran towards each other and embraced in a warming hug.

Lily: How was the trip?

M/C: It was tiring, but I am excited to see everyone! I just wish Jake could be here, but it's too dangerous.

Lily: Soon when all of this is over.

She said confidently with a soft smile.

Lily: Okay so let's head over to my place and freshen up before we head over to jessies party.

M/C: Sounds good

We start driving over to Lily's place, and I really take the time to observe all of Duskwoods natural beauty. Yes, this place does give off creepy vibes, but it has potential.

M/C Online

M/C: Hi Jake:)

Jake: Hi M/C:)

M/C: I made it to Duskwood. I know you are mad that I'm here, but its better this way. I will be able to find clues faster and get us closer to Hannah & Richy!

Jake: I'm not mad I'm just worried.

M/C: Woah is the world's famous hacker worried about little ol me;0

Jake: -_-

M/C: I will be fine Jake I promise:)

Jake: Oh uh & who is Anthony?

Crap I was hoping he wouldn't see that & I wouldn't have to tell him this soon. I just don't want to tell him everything, and him reject me.

M/C: An ex that just doesn't get that its over. No biggie.

Jake: Want me to take care of him?

M/C: No that's okay, I can take care of it.

Jake: Are you sure?

M/C: Yeah, I'll talk to you later!

M/C is in Duskwood & I've never had so much fear of losing someone in my life. What has this woman done to me. I went from being an emotionless robot to a man that feels everything. She perfect. I can't stop thinking about her. 

Who is this Anthony? If he even thinks about trying to hurt or get close to M/C it will be game over. The earliest train I could get to Duskwood is 4AM. Its not soon enough. I just want to hold her in my arms & let her know how much I.... love her? Wait did I fall in love with someone? Wow I did.
