8) Singapore

After four days, the crew finally arrived in Singapore.

"About time. We're finally here." Polnareff said in a lot of relief.

"We'll stay at a hotel tonight and figure out the best route to Egypt," Joseph told him.

Thankfully, he spotted a nice-looking hotel.

"All right, let's stay at that one."

When they were about to leave, they heard the sound of a whistle from behind.

"Hey, you! Turn around! Yeah, you with the flat top!"

They turned around to see a police-looking man running up to them.

"Yeah, you! You there this trash, right? It's five hundred Singapore dollars!"

"No way...Five hundred!"

The man kept scolding him for leaving his "trash".

"Excuse me, sir."

The man turned around to see Y/N smiling at him.

"I just want to clarify one thing. You see, that trash you may call it, it's his luggage."

The man looked confused in shock. Avdol was trying to hold his laughter.

"You might get confused with it because of how it looks. But, I've seen it. If you just took a peek inside, you'll see what it is. Now, I think the person who needs to pay that five hundred Singapore dollars are you."

The man flinched backward and quickly bows in apology.

"M-My apologies! I-I'll be taking my leave now! H-Have a good trip!"

The man quickly runs off.

"Ara ara. Goodbye." She says while waving with a smile.

When she turned back, she hid with her braids once again.

"I-I'm sorry."

Polnareff chuckled as he pats her head.

"Don't worry about it, amor! You saved my life back there! What could have happened if you didn't speak up!"

She looked at him with a small blush before smiling softly. The others held a slight murderous gaze in their eyes. They all turned to go to the hotel until they didn't realize the girl wasn't following them. Kakyoin turned around to see her just standing there, looking at the Singapore view.

"Y/N, are you alright?" Kakyoin asked in a slightly worried tone.

The others realized it as well. They all turned around.

"Um...yes. It's just that...ever since when I came along on this trip, a lot of tragic things had happened around. I've experienced deaths that I've never seen before...I hope it never happened to my father..." she told them.
