The sun was like a ball of hell out there. There was no way anyone could survive from that heat. Now, where are the group? Oh, yes, they were hiding under that small rock-looking cave for quite a while now. They were all panting and covered in sweat.
"How could this have happened?" Joseph asks. "I can't believe it...I can't believe we totally fell for it."
The group decides to avoid the politically unstable route from Iran to Iraq, they crossed the Arabian Sea at Karachi and entered the United Arab Emirates after the fight with The Lovers. Right now, the group was at a car shop.
"Now once you sign this, you'll be under contract." the salesman told Joseph with a smile.
"Here, right?" he asks him before signing his name.
Meanwhile, Polnareff was flirting with a girl just to get Y/N's attention but didn't work because she was with Jotaro and Kakyoin. They were sitting on a couch that was there and just talking.
"Y/N, if I may ask, a few days ago while we fought the wheel of fortune, I heard that you said that your legs were your weak spot. What's the cause of that?" Kakyoin asks.
Jotaro notices the slight discomfort on her face of how one drop of sweat rolled down from her head.
"Hey, Kakyoin. Can't you see she's clearly uncomfortable?"
"No, Jojo, it's okay," she told him.
She pulled down both of her stockings a bit to clearly see the slight scars on her legs.
"Well as you can see, I used to do track when I was in Chūgakkō*. However, because the railings were slightly a bit too tall for me, I ended up falling and scarping my legs. Some of them still hurt, but they are healed, so I suppose it's alright." she explained.
They both listened to her story of why she joined that team and why it didn't really go well. Her story came to a stop when Joseph told them that he got the car ready and have to take off. While driving,
"But, man, I can't believe this country," Polnareff said in an amazed tone. "Every house we see is like a mansion."
"Indeed," Joseph replies while looking at the map. "All the houses around here would cost three or four billion yen in Tokyo. Apparently, this is the norm for the people here. Just twenty years ago, this was all desert, but thanks to massive profits from the oil crisis, this place grew into a dream-like city."
"The sun is harsh, but with air conditioning, it's perfectly comfortable inside the car," Polnareff said as he looked at the sun.
Kakyoin eyed at Y/N. For some reason, she looked kind of familiar to him. Jotaro notices and turns to him with his arms crossed.
"What's wrong, Kakyoin?"
He snapped out of his thoughts.
"I-It's nothing," he replies with a small smile. "The view here is amazing. If anyone were after us, I'm sure we'd spot them, but I feel like someone's watching us, so I can't help looking back."
"Well, with that in mind, I've been thinking about our route from here." Joseph continued while he looked at the map. "About a hundred kilometers northwest is a village called Yarpline. Because of the desert and mountains, the road is heavily curved. It takes two days to reach by car, so the villagers use a Cessna to travel. I think we should go to the village first, buy a Cessna, and cross the vast Saudi Arabian desert."
