Finally from Tokyo to Hong Kong, and Singapore, they finally crossed across India.
"But, well, I'm a little worried. My image of India is a place where people only eat curry and you could fall ill at any time." Joseph said in a slightly worried tone.
"I'm worried that my body may not be able to handle the culture gap," Polnareff added.
Avdol chuckled with a smile.
"That assessment is rather distorted. You needn't worry. It's a nice country, where simple people live. I can guarantee it." he explained to them.
With that, they heard a thud. Which means they arrived in India.
"Well, we're in Calcutta. Let's go," he said as he opened the door.
While the men were walking ahead, Y/N slightly trip and Avdol caught her in time. She looked up at him with a fuming blush. He chuckled and patted her head.
"Be careful, miss L/N."
She slightly giggled and continued walking.
'She is so adorable like a dove.'
When they arrived at an area, a lot of people surrounded them. Mostly beggers.
"Hey, give me a tip!"
"Let me carry that for you!"
"Want a tattoo? You're so pretty."
"Need some anti-venom? It won't hurt your stomach.
"I'll show you a hotel!"
"Mommy, that girl with the braids is really pretty. Can I marry her?"
"I don't need any...Seriously, no thank you," Joseph responded more nervously.
"I stepped in some cow shit! Damn it!" Polnareff exclaimed.
"My wallet's already been stolen!" Kakyoin told the man.
"I'm sorry! I can't marry a minor!" Y/N told the little boy while grabbing her braids.
"Tip! Tip! Tip!"
"If you don't give me a tip, you won't go to heaven, Mister."
"Hey! Don't put your nose on it!" Polnareff shouted at a little boy while lifting his bag in the air.
"A-Avdol! Is this India?" Joseph asked.
"See? Isn't it a great country?" Avdol asked with a smile and a laugh. "This is what makes this country so wonderful!"
The others looked more worried than delighted.
"Ara ara..." Y/N mumbled out softly.
After finally getting out of the crowd of people, they arrived at a fancy-looking restaurant. The waiter served them some light brownish warm drink.
"This is chai. It's delicious," Avdol told them.
Y/N gulped down the drink.
"Wow! This tastes like a mixture of my favorite tea."
"At last, a little peace," Joseph said with relief.
