BLUEBERRY WAFFLES

Gina's POV:

When I entered the kitchen, Max was already sitting on the stool at the island. He wasn't eating though. He was waiting for me.

Awww. Isn't he sweet.

Yup, he is. This brought an immediate smile on my face. But then I notice, he's looking at me weirdly, not in a creepy way, it's more like he's in a state of awe or something. I don't know. I ignore it and wish him good morning. But he doesn't respond.

" Earth to Max!" I say waving a hand infront of his face. He snaps out of it, whatever 'it' is.

" H-Hey." He clears his throat and asks " You say something?"

I chuckle " Yeah. I said good morning"

"Oh. Umm..Good morning."

"I see Grumpy McGroggy pants is gone."

"HUh?...Oh! Yeah, sorry bout that, I'm a little grumpy after I wake up." He chuckles nervously.

I laugh with him " Yeah, I'll say."

" So, I see you had to cook again?" He ask, more like states , but whatever.

" Yeah. I don't know what I was expecting, leaving Jake alone in the kitchen." I laugh as I reach the end of the sentence and Max joins me. " Anyways, let's eat. We're the last ones."

He gets up and gets two plates and hands one to me. I give him a small thank you to which he gives me a full blown smile.

he has a cute smile don't you think?

Yeah he does. 

"You made blueberry waffles?" He asks with excitedly.

"Yeah. Why?"

"They're my favorite breakfast food." He says with a boyish grin plastered to his face.

"Well I'm glad to hear that." I give his a smile and we dig in. We make small talk. Which is so not my Forte but Max was so easy to talk to. We had an hour long breakfast filled with laughing and occasional snorting.

It wasn't pretty. But it was really funny.

We finish and I start cleaning up. Max offers to help and I don't refuse.

Why would I?

Currently, I'm rinsing the dishes to put it in the dishwasher. Which makes no sense. I mean you might as well get a sponge and a soap and do a little scrbba-dub-da  and  voila!  Clean dishes!

Exactly! Remind me again why are we using the dishwasher again?

I don't know Consy, probably because we don't feel like doing the dishes right now.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Never mind me then, continue doing what you were doing.

Gee, thanks. 

I was lost in my thoughts, talking to myself, when I turned around and bumped into Max.

God, I'm clumsy.

 Watch out girl.

It happened because of you consy! 

We're the same.

Right. Wait, I forgot to apologize, "I-I'm sorry, I..um..I didn't see..umm.." Breath, Gina. I take a long breath and look up to Max, he has an amused look on his face.

If only he knew..

Shut up Consy! " I'm sorry Max." 

He chuckles " It's ok Genie." He flashes me a smile and I smile back feeling calmer already.

I was about to walk around when he gently grabbed me by the elbow and pulled me back and looked at my outfit and then his. He then looked at me with an amused face and a raised eyebrow.

I was blank for a minute. I didn't get what he was trying to say, so I furrowed my brows in confusion. He was about to explain when I took a look at mine and his clothes, and then it hit me

" OH! " I said with wide eyes and raised eyebrows.

He chuckled at my reaction. I swear it's the second sweetest sound, first being his laugh.

Ooo, now we find the sound of his laugh sweet, huh. Ok, got it.

Omg, just shut up consy! I swear you sometimes make me wanna take those meds.

Geez, girl! Chill. I'll shut up now.

" If you wanted to match outfits with me, you should have just asked Genie. I'd be more than happy to do do. "

Xamder's words pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked at him and saw a playful smirk playing on his face. I again took moment to replay and register what he said.

"Oh no it wasn't anything like that Max. It was completely an accident. "

He playfully narrowed his eyes and said
" Fine, I'll believe you"

I chuckled at his reaction but it came out as a.... giggle?

Oh god, why am I like this??

We both looked at each other with furrowed brows before bursting into laughter. After we calmed down,  he said,  correction, groaned,

"Ugh, as much as I'd love to hang out more with you, I gotta go meet the coach, he wants to talk to me before the official football practices start from tomorrow. I'll see you later? "

I smile at him and say " It's ok, go meet your coah, we anyways have to meet later to go to the carnival. I'll see you then. If you spend all of the time with me before you go, I might just get bored with you. "

I said playfully but I was a tad serious, I didn't know, it could happen, but I don't want to, so I asked him to go, as much as I was enjoying his company.

He laughs and says " Oh well you're safe 'cause there is no way in hell you're gonna get bored with me, I won't let it happen, ever. "

He started the sentence playfully but as he reached to the end, it sounded more and more serious. His tone was still playful but serious. Idk, how he does that.

"Ok, fine but you kinda have to go, right? Not like you have a choice. " I managed to say.

He groans, again and says

" Yeah, I have to. Ok, I'll pick you up for lunch and then we leave after it. Ok? "

I smile and say " Yes. Perfect. "

He bent down and kissed my cheek and muttered a bye and unwillingly dragged himself out of the kitchen and left. I just stood there for a few seconds after he left. I took a deep breath and went to my room to figure out what to wear.

This is gonna be fun to watch.

Consy, you will help me choose, rather than just watch.

Whatever.
