Dark was born with wolf ears. He hides them from the whole world. Because of his ears not a lot of people he isn't liked all that much. Dark dreamed of being a Pokémon trainer then he had the chance of a lifetime.

My friends and I were making our way through Union Cave until we felt the ground shake.
Dark:What was that?
Lyra:Dunno.
The ground shook again and this time it was heavier.
Sapphire:We need to see what's causing this.
Dark:Good idea. But none of us newbies don't have a ground or rock type Pokémon.
Cynthia:You don't. But we do.
They threw out their Poke balls and their Pokémon came out.

Dark and Friends:Rodger!
I hopped on Cynthia's Pokemon and Lyra followed shortly behind me. We ran through the cave on the back of the ground type Pokémon as fast as their legs could carry them. Just then Tiger sniffed the air then started to guide Cynthia's Pokémon to a stone staircase.
Dark:What's up Tiger?
Tiger:Char!
Dark:Are you saying there is a Pokémon down there causing trouble?
Tiger nods his head then continued to guide the big Pokémon down the stairs.
