Chapter 12: The Past

She looked at him. "Thank you. I don't have to worry about leaving Korea anymore. Destiny? I hope your happy." She went inside of her car despite Min calling her and drove off with a heavy heart.

Jihae can't help but to cry harder. She loved him with all her heart but he cheated on her.

"I know that when I set my eyes on you, we are destined to be together. I love you, always and forever." Jongin sweetly said as he kissed her.

Jihae tears start to fall again. "Destiny? Forever? That's stupid!" She yelled as she speed off without thinking the rain start to pour heavily and suddenly, she heard a honk and everything went black.

As Jihae opened her eyes, her head throbbed in pain. Her eyes starts to adjust and she noticed that she was in the hospital.

"Is she will be okay?" Her cousin, Min asked the doctor.

The doctor nodded. "Yes, her vital signs are okay now. There's no major injury in her head." He said. "She will wake up soon."

"Min...." Jihae called her.

Min widened her eyes. "Thank God! You're awake now!" She beamed. "Are you okay? Do you feel hurt?" She asked.

"I'm fine. It's just my head...." She mumbled as she hold the side of her head.

"Just lay down, Miss Park." The doctor said as he help her to lay down. "You're still weak."

"But... what happened?"

The doctor looked at her. "You've been in a car accident yesterday." he said. Jihae looked at her arms and she saw minor bruises and scratches. "The good news is there's no major injury happened to you Miss Park." he added.

"But you still have to be more careful."

Jihae nodded. "I will."

"Does your wound still hurt?" The doctor asked her referring to the wound in her head and she nodded. "We will have to clean your wound and change the bandage every day to avoid infection. I already instructed the nurse that is in charged to you."

"Thank you." Jihae said as the doctor bowed and left her room.

Min looked at her. "What were you thinking, unnie?!" She beamed. "Why did you drove off like that? You could have harm yourself."

Memories start to flow back in her mind and she felt the same way again. "I don't want to talk about it." She said.

Min sighed. "I'm sorry. It's just.... I'm worried about you." She said.

"I know." Jihae looked at her. "I just want to be alone for now."

"Okay." Min nodded as she left her room.

She sits up on her bed as she looked at the window. As the rain starts to pour down, she could hear her heart throbbing in pain.

"Why?"

"Why Jongin? Why?"

"Am I not good enough?"

"You don't love me anymore?" She wanted to ask this questions but she didn't know if she can handle his answers. She starts to think that all the memories she had with him was a lie.

Everything she had with him was a lie.

His love for her was a lie.

She's not going to believe in
