Chapter 9: The Call

They went to the lobby to have a breakfast together. Sehun was really happy because being one of the closest friends of her, he's able to catch up things with Jihae after how many years they didn't see each other.

They finally found a table and the waiter handled them the menu.

"What do you want, noona?" Sehun asked her.

Jihae began to scan the menu. "I'll order this one." She pointed out. "What about you guys?" She asked.

"I'll order the same with you!" Chanyeol beamed at her.

"Me too!" Sehun said as Jihae giggled. "What about you, hyung?" He turned his gazed to the guy infront of him.

Jongin looked up. "Uh..? I'll order the same with you guys." He said. Then the waiter starts to write their orders.

"Is there anything you want to add?" The waiter asked.

"I'll have espresso, please." Sehun said then he turned to Jihae. "You want coffee, noona?"

Jihae shooked her head. "I don't drink coffee." She said.

"What?" Chanyeol butted in. "I thought you like coffee." He said. Jongin looked at her confusedly. He believed that Jihae likes coffee very much because everyday she'll stopped by at her favorite café shop. He always bought coffee for her.

"No. I'm not fond of drinking coffee's." She said. "And it's not good for my health."

"Oh.. okay. So, what do you want?" Chanyeol asked.

"I'll just have hot chocolate, please." Then the waiter bowed and left.

"You stayed in Canada, right?" Chanyeol asked.

Jihae nodded. "For almost two years I think. I also met Kris there." She smiled. Jongin felt his chest tighten as he saw how she smile whenever Kris name is mention.

"Well, Luhan-hyung once mentioned that he had a close friend in Canada." Sehun said. "I didn't know that you guys would be close friend too."

"How's your life in Canada?" Chanyeol asked.

"Well, I wouldn't say that it was easy but everything was getting better in awhile." She said.

"I bet you had many friends there!" Sehun smiled at him. "You're nice, approachable and friendly when were still in highschool."

"I guess." She smiled ay him. "Although I'm having a hard time coping with the new place."

Chanyeol looked at her. "You've been a model since you went to Canada?"

"Actually, I don't have a plan on being a model. But one of my Mom's friends is the owner of one of the fashion clothing company in Canada and ask me if I could be their model for their photoshoot." She said. "So, I took the chance." Soon, their orders came.

"You really could be a model, noona." Sehun smiled and they began to eat their breakfast.

Jihae smiled at him. "How about you guys?" She asked.

"Well, I'm handling my parent's cafè shoppe and restaurant." Chanyeol said. "Since dad is really busy with our company, he wanted me to take care of our business."

"You're a good son, Chanyeol." Jihae said and Chanyeol smiled at her. "What about you Sehun?" She looked at him.

"Jongin and I are the same." Sehun said. "Our parents inherited us the company and we've been working for how many years now."

"Looks like you guys are very busy." She said. "I hope you don't forget to enjoy yourselves also."

They shook their heads. "We always find a time to spend it together and had fun." Sehun said.

"But Jongin always busy himself with his work." Chanyeol said as Jongin glared at him. "If we didn't come here, I wonder when he will enjoy himself."

"Yah, I know how to enjoy myself." Jongin defended.

Sehun looked at him. "Like what? Like reading and signing all the files in  your office?" He teased him.

Jongin glared at him. "Shut up Sehun!" Jihae smiled at their childishness and surely Jongin's heart skip beat. He smiled unknowningly at her.

"Jongin is being an old man!" Sehun laughed as Chanyeol joined him to tease the latter.

"Guys! Stop it! I'm not an old man!" Jongin snickered.

"You guys are still the same." Jihae murmured.

Sehun looked at her. "What?"

"You guys are so funny." Jihae smiled as Sehun chuckled. Suddenly, her phone rings. "Excuse me, I'll just take this." They nodded.

As Jihae left, Jongin glared at his two friends. "Are you guys crazy?"

"What did we do?" Sehun asked innocently. "We didn't do anything, right Chanyeol-hyung?"

The latter nodded, "Yeah, right." He said. "On the second thought, we call you an old man infront of Jihae." Sehun was trying to control his smile.

"Damn it! Stop calling me an old man." He said. "You're older than me, Chanyeol."

Chanyeol glared at him. "That's Chanyeol-hyung for you, kkamjjong!"

"Big ears!" Jongin snickered.

"Dark skin!"

Sehun looked ahead and he saw Jihae coming to their table. He saw that something was bothering her. "Is there something, wrong?" He asked as they two guys stop bickering with each other and looked at the girl. Sehun wonder who called her to make her worried.

"I'm fine. Something came up." She said. "I really need to go back in Seoul this afternoon." She sits on het chair.

"What happened?" Chanyeol asked.

"Emergency at home." She simply said. "I'm sorry if I couldn't be with you guys for the whole day."

Chanyeol smiled and shook his head. "Nothing to worry about. There's always be a next time."

Jihae weakly smiled. "Thank you. I guess I'll just see you guys in Seoul." She said. "I have to pack my things. I'm going now."

"Goodbye, noona. I'll just call you." Sehun beamed.

"Goodbye guys. Thank you for today." She smiled. But before she could leave someone grabbed her wrist, it was Jongin.

"Uhhh...you.." he noticed that he was shuttering, he cleared his throat. "Take care." He finally said.

Jihae looked at him as she nodded. "Thank you." He took his hand away from her then she left.
