𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐁𝐘 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 when Layla wiped her eyes it was already Monday, and she was already in her last class, Biology with Mr. Evans. Nothing interesting happened the weekend. All that happened was that her mom worked almost the entire weekend and, well, Thea regretted drinking because she had a massive headache. She slept the whole day while Layla studied for her Math test that they never wrote.

The test that they did write was Biology. It was a quick 60 point test, but it was a surprise test that no one knew of. But Layla thinks she aced it.

They had changed classes like Starr said, but the girl wasn't even in school today. She and Lydia was now together in all classes except for Math and Biology.

"All right now, class." Mr. Evans places his book on his desk.

"Before we start, I'm going to give you all new partners to work with," Mr. Evans says. He pushes his glasses up his nose before he sits on the edge of his desk.

"Let us start with the first few names. Gianna, and Ross, will be partners."

Ross smiles, looking over at Gia who's beside him. "Stiles Stilinski, you will be partners with Starr, who is unfortunately not here today."
Layla looks over at Stiles.

"Paisley Parker, you'll be partners with Veronica," he says.

"Layla Paxton, you'll be partners with Scott McCall," he answers. Layla turns her head to where her partner was seated. Scott looks at her, giving her a small smile, which she returns.

He assigns partners to everyone. After he is done, he just stares at them, not saying anything. He places the paper down before taking his glasses of and placing it on the desk.

He sighs loudly, and it was definitely a disappointed sigh. Layla knew whenever a teacher sighs like that, it means they did awful on the test, and she was right about that.

"I had marked your tests and well I honestly surprised that by how little you all know," he says disappointed.

Layla bites her lip. She knew she did great on her test because she knew everything. She may not have studied for it, but she remembered everything Mr. Evans said last week. He gave numerous hints about what to learn for the test.

"Don't use the excuse that classes changed because I still taught all of you in this class Biology. I had told you that we'd be writing a test every Monday from now on. Had I not?" Mr. Evans questions, but everyone was quiet.

"So, no one is going to answer me?" he asks them.

"We didn't think we'd be writing one today. School just started a week ago," Ross, who's seated at the front says. Mr. Evans stares at the boy. "So, did you just forget everything you had learned last week or what you learned last semester?"

"How are we supposed to remember what we learned last semester?" Gia asks the man.

"So, you're telling me you don't remember anything from last semester? Midterms are a month and two weeks away, and you're telling me you can't remember what you learned last semester? Then, tell me how you will pass midterms then? Will you just pass without studying?" Mr. Evans asks, looking at the girl. The girl looks down at her book. She felt embarrassed that she was being put on the spot.

Layla had not seen Mr. Evans this mad before. But it is to be expected when almost all of them failed to pass the test.

He looks at the whole class before looking down at the paper in his hand. "Because of your poor test marks, I have decided to let you guys work in pairs."
