Our family was quite a loud bunch, so I wasn't really surprised by the dirty looks and glares people were throwing at us as we were heading to school. With Aaron's and Alex's insult contests, Finley's boisterous laughter and me pitching in every once in a while to yell some choice of words at them when they decide to bring us into their argument, I understood it was a lot for people so early in the morning but that didn't mean I gave a fuck.
So we kept on until we had to split up, the twins going to their building and Aaron and me heading to ours.
This was his first year in high school but he acted as if it was his last.
"Are you ready for your english test today?" I ask, throwing my arm over his shoulders.
"Nope. I spent all of last night on my pc and didn't have the will to waste my valuable time on the idiocy of two suicidal lovers."
I laugh at that, remembering how painfully dull it was to watch Ajax being cast as Romeo which, of course, led him to just never show up. Well... it's not like I attended the class either after I was cast as an "additional background character".
"I'm just gonna copy off whoever's next to me and call it working smart, not hard."
Scanning around us, I reply absentmindedly, "You really think that's a smart idea?"
"Nope."
"Good, I didn't wanna have to lecture you for a thing you know we've both used as a last resort more than-"
At the sound of our name being called we simultaneously turned around, "Archer!"
"AJ! Man, how are you doing?"
They met half way, doing their usual handshake, "Good, good." Sending me a glance, he continued, "I'm sorry but I'm afraid I'm going to have to steal your sister for a sec alright?"
