The double doors opened for me to see King Midas waiting for me. I curtsey to him picking up some of my light orange dress, hunting boots underneath with my brown added blonde highlights completely loose. "Princess Y/n what a pleasure. I do hope you're willingness to marry me son, is indeed true." He spoke as I get to my feet smiling. "It is true, your majesty." The doors open again so I glanced over my shoulder to see a prince enter.

"Sorry I'm late. My horse got stuck in the woods." The man has dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes as he takes my hand in his planting a kiss. "Hello princess Y/n. I'm dav- Prince James."

I blushed when we lock eyes. There's something I can't put my finger on about him. Like I'm meant to be with this man for life, and not just to get them out of debt. James and I entered up sitting in a swing outside the horse stables. "Are those hunting boots under your dress?" He raises a brow catching sight of the tips

"Oh yes. I hate wearing tight uncomfortable shoes. I'm also no damsel in distress. I am a pretty good shot with a bow, plus my sister showed me how to use a frying pan once." I chuckled out a huge smile on my face.

James nods in understanding rubbing the back of his neck. "Can I - uh tell you something?" I nodded yes seeing he's nervous. "My real name is David. I only go by James because he was my twin brother, but he was killed. So I went from being a shepherd to a prince."

I rest a hand over his that rests on his knee making him look at me. "I guess we're both not what the royals expect. David...I didn't come here to meet you because of my parents arrangement..."

"So you're here by choice?" He asks with a slight smile. I intertwined our hands grinning brightly. "Yes David. Princess Abigail spoke lovely things about you. So I had to come see for myself. She was right."

David brushed some hair behind my ear that had fallen before pulling out a ring with a green jewel in the center of it. "Princess Y/n of Corona, you are a free spirited girl and I'd be honored if you became my wife..." He gets down on one knee brushing away his fur cloak staring up at me. "So reguardless of what my father thinks, what my kingdom thinks. I feel like I'm meant to be with you. Will you marry me?"

I feel a smile masks my face as I eye the prince down on one knee. "I feel a connection between us too. So yes David, I will marry you." He slipped the ring on my finger and gently captured his lips with mine. I wrap my arms around his neck kissing him back happily.
