'I swear I didn't want to barge in like this Mukku....but I really was worried for you...I went to village...I spoke to Damini aunty... And that's how I got to know you are in Mangalore. Thankfully I'm a Mangalorean myself ..it was easy to figure out where Nayak's live...but I swear no one told me about the divorce and stuff...I mean...what are you both going to do??? Omkar your family is rejoicing there and here you both are having a court hearing day after tomorrow!!! I mean..I don't know what to say...there the village thinks you are even pregnant Mukku...I knew that was a lie because you wanted to escape that old man but you both are right now in sinking sand. High time you both speak up!!!' Fari said at once and Mukta looked at me and then sat next to Fari holding her hand.

'Fari...we will....it's just that we need some time...' Mukta said passing me a look and I nodded and took a seat opposite to Fari and said...

'Look Fari...it's too much for everyone to handle... a secret marriage, a secret divorce..so much has happened around here that we need a little time to grasp and think about how to explain our family members and the village' and just then Fari turned around getting hyper and spoke up ..

'Bro ..don't even think about it...the village will banish Mukku...and Mukku everyone thinks very high about Omkar in Phulvaspura...don't even think of maligning your names...all I suggest is let's wait...you will win the case and that house will be yours, all the villagers are by your side. The Sarpanch can't do anything but till then don't let this come out now. Once the case verdict is out, ventually after a few months you both can figure out... maybe you both can say you are divorced or that Omkar has an extra marital affair anything!!!' Fari said and I shot her a look.

'Look Omkar!!! You both have to eventually get back to your lives because you both are in a relationship of convenience. Mukta to convince the village and you to convince your family. And if you both don't speak up this will go in a loop. I mean you both are wierdos. You both registered your marriage to get a divorce and the day you both are getting a divorce is the day when you both are getting engaged. Is this some joke???' Fari asked us both and we really didn't have an answer.

Just then Mukta made a wierd face.

'Is something on fire???' she scrunched her nose...

'Yeah... smells like some tyre is burning...is there a short circuit?' Fari asked and I knew what was happening.

I began walking downstairs and Fari-Mukta followed me and as usual my guess what right.

There was black smoke and steam coming out of kitchen while Shivansh was spraying a room freshener which wasn't doing the job, Sanskriti was opening doors and windows, my mother was coughing, Rudra was ready with the mini fire extinguisher in his hand while housekeeping staff was splashing water on the kitchen cabinet which turned almost black and my eyes rolled as I saw her!!! There stood my master chef sister in law Mrs Prarthana Rudra Nayak aka Pattu the great infront of the gas!!!

'Is your sister in law planning to kill your family?' Fari asked

'Now I understand why Karthik and Sameer used to run away just at the mention of her halwa' Mukta spoke up

We slowly walked towards the gas and noticed the other extra black non stick pan which probably once was normal black.
