Chapter 38: Put you back together

Saturday

Natsuki's POV:

When I woke up my eyes were already stinging from the very convenient ray of sunlight shooting through a small gap from the curtains blocking the window. I get up very slowly and begin rubbing my head as I started feeling a little sting...

Dang it I fell asleep with my ribbons on...I feel like taking them off for the rest of the day is a good idea, I could try a new hair style as an excuse! As I do so I get off my bed, stretch and then it suddenly clicks..

My boyfriend is staying at my house...he's literally in the next room! Should I go wake him up? No...he's been through alot and not just yesterday, I should let him take his time..

I could probably make him some breakfast though, something special!

I leave my room and head to the bathroom as I tip toe past Evan's room making sure I don't make noise and then later go down stairs to see papa already in the kitchen.

"Morning Papa~!"

"Ah, good morning pumpkin. Up rather early aren't we? I didn't have to come up to wake you this time either.."

"I'm not a baby! I just...want to make some breakfast for Evan.."

"Hmm..need a second hand? I still have some time before I leave~"

"On a Saturday agaaaainnn?" I say with a pouty lip.

"I'm sorry sweetheart...but let's consider this our bonding experience~!"

That works for me, I give him a quick nod and we get to work immediately, I wanna learn how Evan manages to make such good pancakes and then add my own little touch to it. More things were added along the lines and for the majority of it we'd end up burning the cakes or have uneven measurements but I didn't care. I was having fun and I wouldn't want to ruin in.

Plus it was fun feeling to boss papa around and I savoured this moment for as long as I could.

"Ah..damn it." Papa would say as he pulled out his phone when it stared buzzing which indicated that he had to go.

"Oh well, it was worth it~" He would say as he picked up his case from the counter.

"Yeah! We were almost done anyway."

"Take care of yourself sweetheart and...him too."

"Bye papaaaaa~!"

After I waved him off I set get the remainder of breakfast ready and set the plates down and decide to wait for Evan to get up. I was at the table flipping through my phone when I notice a text from Monika in the group showing her part to play in decorating the club which also reminded me that we'd have to do something too.

I don't really have anything special other than small ornaments and a small tree...oh~! I could go shopping with Evan for those today.

With the mention of Evan I check the time and then the food seeing that it's already getting could which pissed me off a bit, that dummy can't be that sleepy I've always made sure he got enough.

I slip off my chair and huff while stomping up the stairs and head to his room. At first I press my ear against the door and listen, I hear nothing from the other end so I assume he's either still asleep or just lost in thought since he has a habit of doing that but it's also something concerning.
