2022, August 3rd

It had been a few months of Sireno forgetting, it was rapidly getting worse. Aerlic had stayed with him in and around the castle, and some days he would take him to the cottage. Some days were good, he would remember everything and those were the best kinds of days, but no matter how many times aerlic was asked the question Sireno would forget. And those became bad days, days where Sireno forgot everything but the absolute hatred for Aerlic and try to murder him.

Only upside was his new job, the king's personal assassin. Regarding the many threats against the king, Aerlic was sent by either Joe or Sireno to assess and deplimish the source. It was viggerating ot be able to do his life's work again, and know he would never be able to hurt Sireno, at least on the job. It provided him an income and sources he couldn't have ever obtained beforehand. Which helped because he had a plan to help with Sireno's worsening Dementia.

In hindsight when he got the tip about the spontaneous cure, Aerlic was skeptical. He had spent hundreds of years looking for a reason to fix his memory and now he had a seemingly open book of where to find one.

"What are you doing you old geezer?" a small voice came from the door to his office, it was Sireno dressed in ripped black jeans and Aerlic's blue button up. "You seem focused, sorry."

"I found a possible cure for you, to help you not forget. Now it's a little risky to find, but I was thinking, you and i go on a vacation?" the older walks over to him, taking his hands into his own. "I have to finish my research before we can set out to prove it's real, but I'm going off of hope here."

"I'm sure you will find something. Besides, you need to get out of this house." the younger leans against the door frame, both taking a more comfortable stance. It had become a normal thing for them to do while talking. "Come on, take a break, I made tea."

"You've convinced me." Aerlic lets Sireno lead him out of his frenzied office and down the stairs into the kitchen, now bursting with life and use. It was vibrant and had fresh fruits and the smell of baked bread springing it out of its old depressed state. On the island counter a small kettle with steaming tea and slices of fresh sourdough bread sat on a tray waiting for the two.

"I made your favorites, Blackberry tea and Sourdough." Sireno picks up the kettle and pours them out into tea cups and sits on one of their swivel chairs at the bar. "I remembered this morning how much you loved it when I made them for you after a long day of work."

Aerlic fondly smiled at the thought, it was his favorite and the fact Sireno made him it, warmed his heart.

"My favorite person made my favorite food." he hums and joins the smaller man. It was a calm silence that covered them, both knew they needed no words at the moments, both didn't care. They finally had gotten a calm day in the crazy.

Another photo was taken, one of thousands, and they were left unaware.
