"Guards find my necklace!" Sireno roared out at the trembling court. The almost empty hall echoed and caved at his voice. He had to be powerful, he could not show he was weak. Though he could not recall why he needed to, he was so used to it, he knew if he let himself relax he would be hurt.
"Sir, we could not find it already." One of the guards who was pushed forward by the others to take on the king's wrath spoke up. His armor stood rattling and shaking as he stood before the king.
"WELL LOOK AGAIN!" his voice boomed, he didnt know why he cared so much about a stupid little rotting necklace, but he was devastated it was lost to him. His blood boiled, he needed to find it, he was forgetting again, he forgot it once, he was forgetting again.
"Looking for this?" a voice called from behind the throne. Soon a dagger was placed across the king's neck, and to the other side of him was the necklace. "Hello dove."
"Assassin." The king showed no change in emotions, and due to the fact he called Aerlic the one word he never dreamed of ment he forgot his name. He grabbed the daggers welder by the wrist and threw him from out behind the throne. "Remember I'm immortal, therefore this attempt just as the many before will fail."
"Sireno, you are not a king! You are a farmer's son, who shares a curse with me! Don't you remember, at least remember me?" Aerlic grabbed at his hand and clung to dear life, just as he had 478 years before. "Please!" His voice was one of desperation and despair.
"Why should i? You are merely an assassin who wishes to kill me over and over again." Sireno's voice now coated in thick venom. "And never call me that name ever again!" removing his sword from its stand next to the blood red and black throne he shoves it into Aerlics heart.
"Then what name should i call you, or do you not remember what i used to call you? I used to call you dove."He takes the sword and removes it from his heart to show that he was not wounded, immortal as well. "Do you remember when I would sneak you out to the old house in the woods near a creek? I was fixing it for you. I finished it just before we died. Do you remember that?"standing he hands the bewildered and fuming king back his sword.
"YOU SHOULD BE DEAD! Why didn't you die?"
"I'm immortal you idiot."
"That can't be, I was cursed. Do you know why you're immortal?" the king turned into his old curious self for a minute, showing Aerlic a sign he was still in there. He smiled, he knew deep down things would be ok.
"I got you killed, a necromancer brought you back, but because of these," he holds up their necklace. "And because I refused to let you leave my arms, we both became immortal after we died."
"Aerlic." Sirenos' face becomes overwhelmed as he remembers everything, the good and the bad. Soon he becomes a fuming mass of anger, shoving the taller back with enough force to make his balance wobble. "Get out!"
