"He's gone!" Bard whispered, his cigarette falling to the floor. "Bloody hell!"

     "Oh!" Mey-Rin whimpered.

Suddenly I heard four more footsteps enter the basement. I turned to find the rest of the group down here. Angela gasped as she looked upon the cell.

"Where is Lord Barrymore?" Angela asked.

Suddenly there was pounding at the door, startling Angela. We all went up to the pounding door. The door opened just as we walked in and a villager ran in panting like hell. He collasped to his knees.

"The Demon Hound. The great hound is here!" The villager looked up at us.

     "Oh, no!" Mey-Rin exclaimed.

We followed the villager out into the storm, thunder cracking and lighting shooting across the sky. I could hear dogs howling in the distance. We soon came to the punishment area, finding all the townsmen with their dogs praying at something. I squinted my eyes, trying to get a better look at what they were praying to. It was Lord Barrymore dead body. They were hoping to ask the Demon Hound for forgiveness. When the thunder cracks and the lightning flared, it revealed the dead body to the trio, who screamed.

Sebastian walked over to the dead body after receiving a silent command from Ciel. I saw him pick up the arm and found half of it missing.

"Oh, great Demon Hound." A villager cried.

"Please, please, oh please!" Another shouted.

"Demon Hound, please forgive us!" Another cried. Angela pretended to faint, falling to the ground. Finny was the first to respond by going to her and picking her up in his arms.

                                ****

We held a small meeting, minus Angela because she was "tired". Shippo was in my arms, quietly listening in with us.

"Well, this is unfortunate, master." Sebastian said, looking to Ciel. "To think, all this happening after the case was closed. I'm sure you are a bit annoyed." Sebastian teased, smirking.

"Are you quite finished?" Ciel warned.

     "Where is Angela?" Sebastian asked.

"We left her resting up in her bed for now. She seems tired, yes she does." Mey-Rin explained.

"It's too pitiful to watch, the poor bird." Bard sighed. Finny looked gloomy for a moment before he looked to the direction of her room.

"This village isolated itself completely from the rest of society out of fear of the Demon Hound's curse. I thought for certain the Hound was an illusion created by Lord Barrymore so he could more firmly rule the village, but with him dead, I need to rethink things." Ciel glowed, not liking how things were turning out.

"He was covered in bite wounds." Bard brought up. "Maybe the villagers are right. Maybe it really was the Demon Hound."

"Maybe he's upset at being blamed for Lord Henry's misdeeds." Mey-Rin suggested.

     "Yes, maybe." Bard sighed.

"For now there's only one thing we know. It wasn't human." Sebastian said.

     "The Hound, then." Bard concluded.

After the meeting came to an end, we went back to our duties. Shippo and Kirara retired early since they were practically falling alseep helping me. I closed the door to the bedroom and walked out into the night air. I watched the foggy sky as I sat down on a rock wall. It was nice after the rain died down a bit. With all this talk about a dog demon, it made me miss my own stubborn inus. I placed a hand on Sesshomaru's marking, silently praying that he would come to me soon. Tears streamed down my face as my heart began to hurt. I wrapped my arms around my legs and buried my head into them. Suddenly I heard Finny crying as he ran out of the house. I looked up in time to see him smashing the wall next to me and continued to run away. He screamed out in pain before he continously ran into the trees, knocking them down. I blinked in surprise as I watched him go. It seemed that I wasn't the only one in pain.
