"Jamie, how do you feel?" Madeline Black asks her boyfriend still very weak from being tortured.

"Not much better Madeline, still sore and tired."

Madeline couldn't think of anything else to do except lay in his hospital bed with him and hold him, she hated the fact that her pranking, jokester, of a boyfriend, couldn't even laugh without causing himself pain. Even his bright curly red hair seemed colorless if that were possible of course.

"I'm so glad that you at least made it out alive James," she whispers into his neck.

James seemed out of it when Harry and Ginny come in to give Madeline Black some more shocking news about her family. News about her father.

"Madeline," Ginny begins. 'We have some news for you about your father."

"But...I...he's dead. He is isn't he?!" Madeline snaps.

"Yes, he is dead but there is something you should know about him a lot actually. I think it's best to tell you over a cup of tea at home, besides James needs to rest." Harry answers.

Back at their home Ginny and Harry sit Bellatrix's daughter down at the kitchen table and Harry begins the story, "Have you ever noticed a fourth name on The Marauders Map?"

"Yes, who's Wormtail?"

Harry sighs and says, "The fourth Marauder's name was Peter Pettigrew he was friends with my father. But during the first wizarding war he was a member of the original order of the phoenix, until one night he was approached by your mother and Lord Voldemort. Voldemort was recruiting people to his side for the war however not everyone wanted to join. Your mother had persuaded Pettigrew to join the death eaters convincing him that he would be better protected on the dark side. Within this time Pettigrew and your mother fell in love. Your father is Peter Pettigrew."

"I...uh...WOW!" Madeleine stumbles out in shock.

"I know it's a lot to take in but there's more. Peter Pettigrew betrayed my parents and Voldemort murdered them. He then got away with it by changing into a rat for twelve years and framing Sirius Black. So like your mother, he was not a good person. But that was not always the case he had been good before."

"Harry, why is my whole family so screwed up?"

"It's just in your blood Madeline, but you are different from your mother because you love my son and he's a half-blood. You're different than your father because you're loyal and honest but you are also like them in good ways too. You excel in the DADA class like your mother and you pull pranks with James and Teddy like your father you are Wormtail on the map. Because my son is Prongs and Padfoot, and Teddy is Moony."

"I'm glad to know that I am not a complete and utter failure and disappointment. But Harry, one more question when did my mother have Delphi?"

"During her time in Azkaban. She had you before she was killed in the war and put a spell on you to be the same age as Teddy and James because she knew you would be a good Marauder like your father. I have a feeling that your mother may have actually loved you and not Delphi because your sister never had any attention from her much less knew her. You did longer than your sister."

"We have it in a Pensieve for you to see if you like." Ginny offers the youngest of Bellatrix's two daughters.

"I can't. Seeing my mother is sort of painful because of what she did to Shannon's father, and what my sister did to James and what my mother did Arabella Alice's grandparents."

"The memory we have from your mother is a happy one Madeline, it shows her human side though rare. I promise you that she has a good side in just that one moment, actually there are two instances one involves Draco and Ella." Harry continues.

"I guess I'd rather see part of her that was good than a part of her that was bad." Madeline Black says.
