"Madi, please don't choose the dark over light I can't lose you," James whispers to his girlfriend.

"Jamie, I have to do this. Delphi wants me to help her and she's the only family I've got left."

"Madeline, you must make a choice, and please I beg of you choose the light! For my sake if not for anyone else."

"Then give me one good reason why I should stay with the light James," Madeline whispers hardened by her time spent with her sister.

"Because...because I love you and I'd never be able to pull another prank ever again if I lost you."

"Do you really mean that?" she whispers breaking a little at how James's voice cracks with pain.

"Yes, because you are not your mother. You are not your father. You are a sweet, witty, sly, and funny person who can be mean when she wants to be but never evil. It's not who you are Madeline Black and remember my middle namesake he was like you a rebel."

Madeleine sighs and hugs James taking in his scent of laundry detergent and smoke from a prank that backfired, Bellatrix's youngest daughter felt at home in his arms.

She knew she had to make a choice and as she closed her eyes she recalled their first kiss during a seven minutes in heaven session, and their first time on Christmas Eve because they had spiked each other's butterbeer and slept with one another by the fireplace at the burrow.

"I love you James Sirius Potter, and I choose the light because I'd miss you far too much."

"I knew you'd come back to me, Madeline! And I love you too," he says excitedly kissing her.
