      Woohoo, Another game day and I'm soo excited, I just pray they don't pair me with that annoying James again. We all gathered at the open field waiting for the game master, After some minutes he came with his usual 20 leaves book

"Good day you all, Today we are gonna have a scavenger hunt game, your partners are going to be your roommates so all roommates should stay together, Now some papers will be shared to each group, the paper contains the items you are to find hidden in the bushes" He announced, some pieces of papers were shared to the group leaders

"The items are hidden inside the bushes, some of the items in your paper might be the same as the ones in another group. As you can see in your paper there are six items in each paper, The first group to come back with their complete items wins the game, Now let the game begin" We all scrambled while I gathered my team together

"Okay girls we need a plan," I said

"What stupid plan do you need, the other teams are there looking for their requested items and you need a plan" Stacy derided

"Will you shut up Stacy" I fired at her

"Just ignore her, what's your plan?" Faith cut in

"Okay, we can't all go and look for the items at once, it's gonna slow us down so we'll have to split up, Each of us is gonna find each item," I said and unfolded the paper in my hand "okay Jane you'll find a pink Flower, Adesua you'll find a Flashlight, Faith you'll find a Water Bottle written CAMP, Zainab you'll find an Acorn, Sta........."

"Don't Stacy me, I get to choose what I want not you" Stacy cut in rudely

"Stacy we have to work together if we want to win this game so stop being a sassy pumpkin" Faith retorted

"Whatever" She rolled her eye

"Stacy you're gonna find the four-leaf clover and......."

"And why do you have to give me something hard " She interrupted again

"Okay, what item do you want?" I asked seeing that time wasn't on our side

"I wanna find the water bottle" she tucked her weavon to the back of her ear and smiled at Faith

"Oh kill me" I heard Faith whisper

"Okay Stacy you'll find the bottle and Faith you'll find the four-leaf clover happy now, I'm gonna find the binocular," I said and split up with the girls.

Looking for a binocular was so hard, The items were hidden and I'll say the person who hid this thing is good, I had to go deep into the bushes just to look for the damn item, like seriously it's been 30 minutes since I stepped my foot in this bushes.

As I walked by an oat tree I saw it hanging comfortably on one of the branches, I tried to take it but my hand couldn't reach it, yeah I know I'm not tall and I can't climb trees but hey you can't blame little old Lauretta for her misfortune. I jumped and jumped, sometimes I jumped high but not even the tip of my finger could touch it and sometimes I don't even reach anywhere, seriously the game master is mean.
Just when I was about to reach the binocular a hand took it without any much effort

"I guess you need to eat some fertilizers to grow tall," A familiar voice said from behind me, I turned my neck and saw James with his annoying smirk

"Do you have to be everywhere" I groaned

"Maybe" He shrugged

"Whatever, thanks anyway," I said and tried to take the binocular from his hand but he raised it from my reach

"Umm I need that" I stretched my hand and stood on my tippy toes but I still couldn't reach it

How is this guy so tall

"I need it too, holder's keeper" He grinned widely

"This is what's on my list" I tried jumping to get the stuff in his hand

"This is also in my list"

"God why" I muttered

"Well I guess this is mine" He waved the binocular and began to walk away

"Bye firecracker" He smirked

"Call me that one more time and I'll throttle you" I threatened

"With that soft hands, Baby you can do better" He teased

"You also have a soft hand" I retorted

"Let me clear you there, you have soft palm and fragile hand but I have soft palm and strong hand," He said flexing his muscles but before I could answer him saw something long and black moving near my legs

"J-James" I quivered

"What's up fire......." His eyes landed on the black thing before he could even finish his sentence

"Stay still Lauretta" He whispered picked up a huge rock near him

"What's this?" I asked, I was really scared

"It's a snake dummy, don't move," he said and slowly walked towards it, before the snake could realize what was happening its head was smashed by the huge rock. Without thinking twice I jumped on James body out of fear

"It's okay now, it's dead" He placed my head on his chest

"It was scary" I cried
Beads of sweats were already streaming down my face

It was actually my first time seeing a snake, I normally see them in NatGeo Wild

"Thanks" I whispered

"Let's get out of here," He said and placed his arm around my neck since I was still frozen with shock

"Take" He handed me the binocular "you need it, I'll prefer you win the game" He winked

"Thanks" I smiled

Lauretta smiled at James like Lauretta Okoro smiled at James Walter, He might not be bad though

We got out of the bush and joined our teams

"Where's Stacy?" I asked as I reached the girls

"We haven't seen her, we've been waiting for her for like 25 minutes, what was given to her wasn't even hard, A bottle water that's written Camp on it," Faith said

"And we have a winner" We heard the game master Announced, we raised our heads and saw Damilola's team jubilating

Lucky them

I saw bitchy Stacy cat walking towards us chewing a gum which I don't know where she got from

"Where have you been Stacy" I scolded her

"Chillax bitch, I've been around," She said making some annoying sounds with her gum

"You know what, I don't have your time" I rolled my eyes
My mind wasn't even on her, my mind was on what happened minutes ago

"I also don't have your time" she scoffed behind me

So stupid
