Piplup was very scared on the ride to the police station. He knew he wouldn't survive if they questioned him for a long time.
Metaphorically survive, of course. Well, hopefully he won't die from this.
He couldn't think of anything except how this could go horribly wrong.
'What if I say too much? What if he accidentally sold out the rest of his pals?' He thought.
But the biggest concern was the most important right now.
'Where is Eevee?'
He just couldn't get his mind off this. Where could he be?Nothing seemed to fit. They were told that Eevee wasn't dead but wasn't alive either.
'How in any way could this make sense' Piplup thought.
He stopped thinking when he heard a loud noise and finally looked around the police car.
The front windshield was broken, and when he looked behind him, a bullet hole only a few inches away from his face.
Piplup didn't know what to do. He never prepared for this situation at all.He looked around in a panic, noticing a van following dangerously close behind their car.
Then he realized another thing about this situation.
The driver had been shot in the head. Nobody was driving.
Just when he noticed that, the police car gets hit by the van and spirals off the road, going right off a hill and causing the car to flip.
Piplup was able to hold in his breakfast but wasn't able to stop himself from hyperventilating.
He didn't even know if his friend was still alive.Piplup almost screamed for help, but held himself back after hearing footsteps approaching the car.
"Get out." The person says, not even showing Piplup their face.
He slowly got out of the car, panicking. His friend didn't move.
"That's another casualty, gotta hope it wasn't one of the five." The person says.
Piplup could tell they were using some sort of voice changer.
"W-" Piplup gets cut of by the person. "Talk and you get shot, okay?"
Piplup nodded his head. "Follow me, now." The person said, walking backwards to make sure Piplup didn't run.
Piplup followed them. He really didn't want to die. Before they left, the person had to check his friend.
Piplup was freaking out, this was his best friend after all.
The person quickly checked their body for any signs of life.
"Dead." The person says, getting back up and turning back to Piplup.
Piplup couldn't believe his ears. His best friend, dead. He started crying.
"Cmon, we've wasted enough time already." The person says, forcing Piplup to follow them.
Piplup didn't know where they were going.Piplup found himself in the back of a van, with five or so other people.
Nobody said a word, fearing they would get killed if they spoke.
Piplup looked around and noticed a lot of these people were bleeding.
He also noticed a pretty bad cut on his leg. He had used his jacket to try and stop the bleeding as well as he could.
"You guys can talk back there." The driver says, with the same voice as the first guy.
Nobody said anything though. Until Piplup decided to break the silence.
"H-Hello?" He says, trying to start a conversation.
"H-hi." A girl replies while checking on a wound on her hand.
Slowly everyone said hi and went back to silence.Soon, they arrived at their destination. Piplup didn't know where though. They were blindfolded before they could get out.
They were slowly led inside this place. It was hard to walk blindfolded.
When they were told to take off their blindfold, they were standing in a room with twenty or so other people.
They all were either scared or confused. The only thing that they shared was some sort of injury.
"Hello. We have brought you all here for one simple reason. Five of you know a lot more about the recent Pokémon escape than you have said." Someone says. "We even have ample evidence that those five are the Pokémon, just in human form. I will say this as clear as possible. Nobody will be leaving until those five are found. We will interview you all one at a time."
A guard grabs a random persons hand and takes then to a separate room. Everyone else just stood there, either crying or just panicked.'What in the absolute heck is going on?' Piplup thought to himself.
'I really thought today was just gonna be a normal day but, here we are.' He thought.
'What if I try to escape? No, they have guns and people protecting the exit. What if I turned into a Pokémon? Probably wouldn't work, too many guards' He thinks.
Piplup didn't know what he could do, it felt like he was just forced to lose no matter what he did.
'They planned this very well.' He thought. 'It must've been a pain to figure this whole thing out."
He stopped thinking when another person was called back. Now he should just try and calm his nerves after all the stuff that had happened.
So he just waited for someone to speak up.After a silence that felt like it went on for forever, someone finally says something.
"H-Hello." Someone says, startling Piplup due to one reason.
That voice sounded very familiar, he knew it was one of his Poké-human friends, but he couldn't tell who.
Nobody replied to that person, but Piplup walked over to them. "H-Hey." Piplup says.
That same look of familiarity filled their eyes. "Do I know you?" They say.
"I'm pretty sure," Piplup replies, "Who were you?"
All they did was point to someone's shirt, which was green. Piplup quickly figured out what they meant.
Piplup pointed to a chair, which was conveniently blue. They also seemed to put it together.
"Piplup?" They replied, in a barely hear-able whisper. "Yes, and you're Rowlet?" he replied, also whispering.
"It's nice to meet you again." Rowlet says, smiling.
"You too." Piplup replies.* * *
