Me and Asher stay low. Taylor went to the other buildings. We got the biggest one.
⠀
The building were shaped in a square formation. We came from one of the sides and Asher and I took the left. We come to the back of the building next to a window. Asher opens it.
⠀
We jump throught the window to a restroom. Luckily nobody was in it. He walks to the door and slowly opens it, takes a quick look, and slowly closes it. He holds up 3 fingers saying 3 soldiers. "Subdue or kill?" I motion. "Subdue" he motioned back. I nod.
⠀
He slowly opens the door agian and walks out. Two of the soldiers where looking out a window and the other just walked through a door to another room. We both walk up behind the two. Asher motions a countdown. At 1 I wrapped my arm around the soilders neck. I squeeze as hard as I can till his body goes limp. After they become unconscious we drag them into the restroom we came into. We walk out casually. We're about to move to the next room, but something smashes the door open. The soldier that walked through the door later lands a few feet away from the door. Talyor walks in and shoots the soldier.
⠀
"Way to make an entrance, Taylor." Asher says sarcastically. "Thanks." She replies. "Havnt got you buildings done yet?"
⠀
"What? Did you?" I ask. "Yes. Men are slow." She replies. "Let's move to the next one."
⠀
"We still didn't get the upper floor" I say.
⠀
"Then you should clear it." She rolls her eyes. Hooray, more people to hate me. Asher and I go towards the steps as Taylor walks towards the next building. We reach the top of the stairs to find a quite lounging room.
⠀
We're about to walk back down until I hear a bullet zip by my head. "Cover!" Asher commands. We both jump behind a couch for covers. Not one of my best ideas but it's all we have for concealment. Bullets zip over our heads. "They've got us pinned down. I'll move over to the next couch." Asher says. I nod. He dashes over but at the last second another gun does off.
⠀
He falls to the back of the couch holding his side. "Asher!" I yell. He dropped his gun a few feet away from me. I have to get him out of here alive. I grab the gun. Frank taught us all how to use one just in case we got our hands on one. I love to the left of our makeshift cover and take a real quick look. 2 guys, 1 moving closer. Him first.
⠀
I move left again and take the shot. I didn't look but I heared a thump like something hitting the floor. The last one was behind cover in the far corner of the room. I look up to see if he's moved, I'm guessing he had the same plan. I draw my gun and fire without the thought of aiming. I feel a sharp pain graze my shoulder. I look to see blood slowly coming out of my shoulder. I hit the other shoulder in the chest.
⠀
"Asher!" I call. All I get in respons is a moan. I run over to him to he bleed a lot. "C'mon, where getting out of here." I help him up and help him down the steps. We walk out of the door only for another bullet zip by our heads. I quickly look to see where it came from. The roof of the building we cleared. We rush behind the building we came out of. Taylor just walked out her building. Glass shatters behind her and she ducks. She runs behind her building and glance over to us.
⠀
"What now?" I yell. "I don't know..." She replies.
⠀
Asher puts his hand on my shoulder. "I-I got this." He mutters. "Just take the shot, you'll know when." I had no idea why he was talking about until he walked out into the opening.
⠀
One shot. That's all I heared. I didn't have to look to know what happened. He was dead. I must've hesitated because Taylor runs out and starts shooting. She turns to me and says one word. "Run."
⠀
We run back toward the lake. Taylor yells things into her earpiece but I don't pay attention. Helicopters can be heared in the distance. Definetly to get rid of us. In the distance I see one on the other side of the lake starting to land. We run as quick as we can. We reach it and jump in. As the doors close, bullets hit the helicopter but don't have any effect.
⠀
I slump into one of the chairs. Taylor slide down agianst the door and puts her head down. One thought crosses my mind.
⠀
What are we gonna tell Sam?
