I put my sword to his neck.

Frank laughs. "You still haven't learned any respect to me yet, haven't you?"
His guards already have their guns pointing at me. "You've turn this group into slaves. Why would I have any respect towards you!" I say.
"If you wanted to leave all you had to do was ask..."

He snaps. Common communication between his guards telling me to duck. A gun goes of and grazes Franks shoulder.

This is my chance, I think to myself.
I shove Frank aside and jump out the nearest cracked window. The adrenaline rush kept the glass in my face from hurting, at least for now.
In the streets in wide open. The people backed away probably after they heard the gunshots.

One of the EDF soldiers is pushing through the crowds. He draws his pistol and points at me. I can hear Frank bellowing in rage as he comes out of the front gate of the warehouse.
"James! I will kill you you son of a-"
The soldier pulls his trigger. I thought I was gonna die till I realized the gun was pointing somewhere else.

As I watch Frank crumple to the ground, memories flood my head. A woman with a baby in her arms. A man with gun. Screaming. A gunshot.

The EDF soldier has to shake me to get me back to surface. "Have you lost your mind kid? Get into the alley." He says. Next thing I know he's dragging me by my arm into the nearest alley. "Let's fix up your arm while we can." He says. I haven't even notice the piece of glass wedged into my arm.

The soldier takes of his helmet. Correction, she took of her helmet. Her face was lightly tanned and her hair was brown with little blonde strands. Her eyes were as dark as my brown eyes.

The last thing I remember is her ripping out the glass.
