One day I was conscience. One freaking day. Look what's happen so far.
⠀
The ride back didn't take long. Taylor and I didn't say anything for the entire trip. The plane had no windows so I didn't have much to do.
⠀
We land into the hangar back at the building. We're walking of the plane until Taylor grabs my arm.
⠀
"I'll tell her. She barely met you and I don't want her to think less of you." She said. "Thank you." I reply. Nick is at the door to hallways to meet us. Taylor walks up to him and kisses him, then wispers into his ear. He nods. Try motion me to follow them.
⠀
We walk for awhile till we reach the training auditorium. We walk in to see only a few people including Sam. She walks over to us. "Hey, how'd you do?" She asked. She seemed happy and I didn't want to see it go away. "We failed." Taylor replied.
⠀
"Where's Asher?" Sam asked.
⠀
"Hey Sam," Taylor interrupted. "Can we talk for awhile in the strategic section?"
⠀
"Ya, sure." Sam replied. Good thing that section had windows and a door to separate them from everything else. Sam and Taylor walk over and close the door.
⠀
"This won't be good." Nick said.
⠀
I nod in response. I watch them talk. Sam's face darkened.
⠀
"No!" She yelled. The glass of the windows enclosing the section shatter. "I don't believe it! He still out there!" With a wave of her hand the door is released from its hinges and flung across the room. She runs out of the doors and disappears down the hallways. Taylor walks back over to us.
⠀
"Well that went better than I expected. I was expecting this room to collapse." She says. "We don't have anyone to calm her down. That's usually Asher's job." Nick and Taylor look at me.
⠀
"Sure. I'll give her a try." I say.
⠀
"Second floor, room 431." Taylor says. "Try not to die."
⠀
Wait. What!

⠀
The elevator ride to the second floor felt like forever. What was I gonna say. What was I gonna do. Why me. Why'd I volentreers to go.
⠀
I'm probably one of the biggest idiots thinking I can comfort a fire wielding, killer girl after her boyfriend died. I didn't have much to live for anyway.
⠀
I walk down the hallway shaking. I'm guessing Taylor and Nick knew she was here probably because she comes up here a lot.
⠀
I stop at 431. I guessing she went here due to the hole to in the door with smoke coming out of it. I knock.
⠀
I here a whooshing noise and the door explodes. Luckily I moved to the side as quick as I could. The door hits the wall on the opossite wall and burns. Well it was worth a try.
⠀
Guilt flushes over me. I have to do this. Even though I've only known her for a day I have to. I walk in. The room looks like a normal room to a normal person but to me, I loved it. The room look like a hotel room from magazines I've seen in the streets but with only one bed.
⠀
"Sam? It's James." I say. I don't get a reply. I walk to the next room over. It looks the same as the other room I just left. I call her name and no response again. I walk over to the identical bed and look on the other side. Not there either. I'm about to walk out when I hear something.
⠀
"James..." She calls. I turn around to see her standing right there. Her eyes were dark and red. Her dark brown hair was all messed up and she didn't have her feather in her hair. Her T-shirt was damped and wrinkled with only a small necklace. Only one definition flooded my mind of her. Beautiful.
⠀
"We're where you I say" I say.
⠀
"Invisibility spell." Sam replied. "Asher and I use to hid and see if he could tell where I was." Her eyes watered up.
⠀
"He didn't die in vain. He saved our lives risking his. He is a hero." I say. She sits on the bed and puts here head into her hands and sobs. I sat next to her attempting to comfort her. Best I could think of. "He's in a better place right?" She asked.
⠀
"For what he did, yes. I'm sure if it." I reply.
⠀
We sit there for awhile and she finally breaks the silence. "Thank you James." She puts her arms around me. I attempt to hug her back as best I could. "I just need some time." She says.
⠀
I nod and walk out of what was a shared room.
