~Dream's P.O.V~

Dream paced around his room, he was nervous, about what side effects the drug would have on George if it worked in the first place.

Dream let out a sigh making his way to George's room. Dream did not sleep at all, He was too worried, Though he tested it on another victim and nothing happened it didn't stop Dream from fearing for George's life.

Dream had to see Geroge so he went to where he was held. He entered the code then flashed his card when Dream got into George's room he walked to the foot of the bed.

"George, did I show you my face?" Dream asked biting his lip, George looked confused at the sudden question.

This was a good sign, he did not remember. Dream could tell when someone was lying and George wasn't. He shook his head, Dream let out a deep breath, he felt like he was able to breathe for the first time.  Dream walked over to George bringing him into a hug,  he was confused but gave in anyway. They stayed like that for a while.

The silence was the only comfort between them. Though Dream had to go, as much as he wanted to stay he knew he could not. Once Dream let go he left the room, he made his way to Dreamland removing his mask with a sigh. He jumped into his bed throwing the covers over himself.

Hopefully this time he would sleep...

Clay glanced down on the floor as his dad spat venom at him, this wasn't the first or last time he would be yelled at. His father's large form hovered just enough to make him feel crowded and small.

Clay glanced over at his mom with her arms crossed with no expression on her face, his mother was empty not like a doll but more like a husk of a human being. She didn't care what her husband said or did to her son. She just did nothing like nothing that happened to anyone around her mattered

"Clay!" His dad smacked him across the face snapping him out of his trance. The sting of the slap rang on his cheek.

Clay gulped down the lump in his throat. He knew what came next.

"Come on! Punishment time!" His dad grabbed his arm dragging the helpless child. Clay tended to let the blur take away these moments, however, it didn't change the fact that it happened. He would still feel it afterward.

Clay had enough, someone could only go through so much trauma before cracking, with killers most of the time they start with small animals like family pets or strays but Clay was different. He started with humans.

Clay watched his sister run through the yard, he got a  weird feeling. Clay tripped the girl as she fell to her knees, tears began to fill her eyes as she scraped her knee.

As Clay watched her cry he could only think one thing.

Why not her?

Why was Clay have to endure the countless assaults by his own father when he had a sister?

What Clay did next was something he could vaguely remember. It started with the rock, he picked it up. The rock was heavy with malice as he hoisted up from its resting place. His sister was none the wiser as he approached her ignorant form. Her skull gave a crack as he let the weight of the rock fell on her head. Clay smiled watching as the blood pooled from her head and the warm splatters coated his face and clothes.
