"steve?!" you yelled out while searching through the fridge for something to eat. "when was the last time we went food shopping?!"

steve rounded the corner into the kitchen with his eyebrow raised. "maybe like, uh, two or so weeks ago? why?" he tilted his head to the side

"i was just wondering, because we have no food in this damn apartment!" you yelled, frustrated at yourself for forgetting about groceries.

"hey, hey, y/n it's not a big deal! we can run out right now!" he walked over to you, taking your hands into his. "relax darling," he took a deep breath, signaling for you to copy him. "and i call driving," he whispered while running to the front door to snatch the keys before you.

(timeskip brought to you by steves undersized shirts ;) )

after finding a parking spot, and grabbing a cart, steve and you walked into the grocery shop. you pulled out your messy list that you had written in the car, scanning it for the first thing you guys needed. "alright so we need milk, eggs, butter and basically every other existing dairy grocery." you looked around at the chaos and busy shoppers, then back to steve. "since we chose the worst time to come, how about we split up the list so it goes faster?"

steve nodded in agreement, taking the half of the list you just ripped in half. "i'll race ya! the first one back here wins.." he leaned into your ear, and whispered something. your cheeks turned a crimson red, eyes widening. (what he said i'll leave up to y'all ;) ) steve smirked, "on your mark, get set, GO!" you sprinted the opposite direction, straight towards the produce section. in the speed of lightning you grabbed all the required fruits and veggies before dashing towards the meat and bread.

within a solid five minutes you finished your half of the list, and full on tackled people to try and get towards the front of the store. once you arrived, you realized steve hadn't gotten there. you had won! you suddenly saw steve run towards you, his cart filled to the max.

"what the hell... steve what is all of this!?" he took a deep breath before responding. "i got a little distracted- i saw some uh, avengers cereal and i kinda sorta took all the ones with my face on it..." he looked down at the ground, fidgeting with his fingers.

"well did you get anything that was actually on the list? or just this stupid cereal?!" at this point you were beyond hungry and annoyed. you couldn't believe him.

"first off, it isn't stupid! and second, i did get everything on the list!"

you sighed out of relief, rubbing your eyes. "you can have one box of the cereal. one." you stated firmly. steves face lit up with excitement.

"thank you y/n!" he giggled, hugging one of the boxes. his mood really could change to that of a five year olds in the matter of seconds.

"jesus, it is impossible to stay mad at you," you chuckled, following him to put the cereal back.
