No one POV

The last thing Sakusa wanted to think about is him having that stupid disease. Why would he get it? It's probably just a fever. A stupid fever that has his throat itchy. He quickly washes his hands, dries them off with the paper towel next to the exit, and opens the door, making his back to their table. trying not to think about how hot it is, licking his lips, rubbing his hands together, trying not to think about what could be the cause of his distress.

He walked rather slowly. Faxing in and out. Clearing his throat softly. He stops outside the private dining area where everyone was supposedly in, he fixes himself up before heading in. He was suddenly stopped in his tracks when he finds Y/n there.

'She was glowing, still beautiful as ever' Sakusa thought. She was laughing and talking with her peers. Her laugh was beautiful, he missed it. Her smile was glowing, he missed that too. Her presence is the one he missed most.

Haru jumps out of the conversation and looks at Sakusa, following where his eyes were looking. It stopped on her, the girl she was jealous of in high school. Haru then grew sad at the sight that was in front of her, "Omi your back! Come on, the food is coming soon, sit down!!" Haru brings all their attention to him.

Everyone stopped what they were doing, "go on kiyo, sit, the food is almost here" Y/n gently gestured to him to sit in his seat. Sakusa quickly scans Y/n, an arm wrapped around her shoulder, her smiles genuine like it always has been, her fiancé giving him a suspicious look. He quickly nods and heads to his seat.

Everyone went back to their conversation, Sakusa just sat there like his antisocial self. Haru was stealing glances at Sakusa unsure of what to say after they leave.

"So Kiyo, how have you been?" A voice reels him in. Y/n. He looks up at her and switches between her and her fiancé.

"I've been fine, I have Haru so there's always something new to do every day" he jokingly replies. With every word coming out of her mouth, he felt his heartbeat a little faster, Haru noticed how focused he was, she grew a little mad that her man was staring at another woman. That woman was in the past, it may be his first love but he needed to move on and live in the now. He had her, Haru, he didn't need Y/n anymore, so why does he keep staring at her like that.

Shaking off the thought, Haru continued to listen to everyone's conversation jumping in and out of them, she watched everyone closely, she was a very observant person. whenever Sakusa came home (Which was rarely because of his traveling, he just so happened to have a vacation on the week of the get-together) sometimes he'd look unreadable and sometimes so drained.

Finally, the food had arrived, everyone dug in once it was set down and the waiters left. everyone was having a good time, exchanging laughs, telling old stories of them in high school, what they're doing now, occupations, and all that stuff you would talk about when not having to see some people in a long time.

~Timeskip~

everyone went their own way home, saying their goodbyes and heading off home. Sakusa and Haru made their way to their shared apartment just nearby. reaching inside and getting into their comfortable clothes, Sakusa went on his phone while Haru did her own business somewhere else in the apartment. Sakusa came upon a picture shared by Y/n on her social media that was a picture taken of everyone before they went their own way home.

he felt fluffy on the inside and his heartbeats faster again, similar to how it was in the restaurant. he thought he got over her a while ago, avoiding those get-together's and not paying attention to her social media account was the only way to avoid talking or seeing her. all those feelings came back again, the ones he wanted to never feel for her again so that he could move on for himself and her. his throat started getting itchy and he started feeling hot even though the AC was on.

he felt like vomiting so he rushed to the bathroom not forgetting to lock the door behind him.

he tried clearing his throat to get the feeling to fade away but he just made it worse, making it itchier.

he finally let it all out, he felt better but it was still itchy and sore.

"What the fuck-" he wipes his mouth and finds blood

'You've gotta be kidding me' he thought 'petals huh'
