*Rain's POV

I wake up and notice that my mate is sleeping, and I move her to the side to get up. I walk onto the porch, and I see someone walk up. I look alert but relax when I notice it was Kalina. I walk down the ladder and meet her, "what are you doing here?" I ask and she sighs. "I can't come visit my friends?" she asks, and I roll my eyes. "You want to come up? Juneau is still asleep though," I say, and she nods her head. I turn my head and then I feel her grab my arm, "what is that on your neck? Is that a mark?" she says with a smile on her face. I turn and look at her smiling and blushing, "yeah, she caught me off guard when she bit down but we did it when we came home. I was surprised she did it, but I am happy, I feel whole," I say and walk up the ladder.

Kalina nods her head and walks up with me. I enter the house and Kalina closes the door. She looks over and sees Juneau still sleeping, "guess the adrenaline is finally catching up to her," she says, and I nod my head. "She had a rough night trying to fall asleep," I say and Kalina looks at me confused, "what happened?" I sigh, "she felt like we were being watched and she caught onto a scent that smelled familiar, but she couldn't think about who it was," I say and Kalina stiffens but nods her head. I start brewing coffee and I notice Juneau move a little, "coffee always works," I say and laugh. I walk over to her and since she is on her back, I can climb on top of her. She groans and looks over her shoulder to look at me, "really princess? I can't move now," she says, and I smirk, "I like you in this position though, alpha. Under my control," and as soon as I say that she growls and rolls over pinning me on the bed.

I smirk and she rolls her eyes and then looks up to see Kalina, "oh hey Kali. What are you doing here?" she asks and Kalina shrugs, "wanted to check on my friend who almost died on us," she says, and Juneau nods her head. We both get up from the bed and when Juneau and I walk by her she notices our necks, "oh my god, Juneau has marked her mate folks, this isn't a drill," she says and laughs. I look at her then I focus on Kalina and smiles, "it was nice to see you Kali but if you don't mind, I would like alone time with my mate. I have 2 months to catch up on lost time," I say, and she nods her head.

"of course, just wanted to see my best friend, have fun but not too much," she says and looks at Juneau with a smile and then leaves. I hear a breath come from our mate and we walk over to her, hugging her from behind, "are you sure you smelled her?" I ask and she looks at me, "I am a tracker princess, I know what I smelled, and it was her. I don't want to assume anything, but the moon goddess said it was someone I trusted most and there is only one other person I trust most that isn't family and that is her," she says, and I nod my head. "Did you link your brother yet?" I ask and she nods her head, "yeah, he is coming soon. Him and our dad are talking, now that he is back, my dad has an heir to being alpha to the pack now," she says, and I nod my head. She pours her coffee and then turns around using her one hand to lean on the counter, and she looks hot doing it. I love when she doesn't wear a shirt, I can see her abdomen so well and then my eyes land on her scars from the bullet wounds. I walk over to her and place my hands on the scars, and I feel her suck in her breath when she feels my hand on her abdomen, "princess?" she says, and I hum in response. I almost lost her, I will kill this person who almost killed my mate, "Rain?" she says my name and I look at her mad, "that's not my name to you," I say, and she smiles and nods her head. "Princess, I am fine. Just another scar to add to the collection," she says and walks away.

Why doesn't she show off her tattoos? I love her and all her artwork, "alpha? Why don't you show all your tattoos? I love seeing them," I say, and she turns, "not many people like it and sometimes I just hate all the eyes looking so I cover up most of them and only leave a few out," she says, and I get an idea. I walk over and grab one of the bowls and fill it with water, and I sneak I behind her and pour it over her. I back up laughing and she looks at me, and when she turns around the water is a nice touch to make her look sexy. She looks at me with a smirk, she slowly starts to let her sweats fall, "guess I got to shower now," she says and all she is in are bra and boxers. I walk over to her, but she stops me, "naughty girls don't get to shower with Alpha, so you can just watch," she says, and I whine. She finishes undressing and I am in heaven, thinking how I got so lucky to have her as a mate.
