Opposites Attract

            *Juneau's POV

I wake up to something on my chest and when I look down I see my mate. Jay went back to Korea with Lydia and Bubs last night, Lydia was crying so hard when she had to leave my mates arms. I move my mate so I can get up and go to the kitchen for coffee, "morning precious," I hear my mates say as she walk up behind me and wraps her arms around me, "morning princess, I have a question for you," I say and she looks at me, "wanna take a little road trip and visit the ranch with me?" I ask and she nods her head, "yes!" she says and jumps to hug me. I laugh and hold her close, "good, so I already laid out an outfit for you in the bathroom," I say and she nods her head. I watch her run to the bathroom and get dressed, and shake my head as I go back to making my coffee.

I finished getting dressed in my attire for the ranch and sit on the couch finishing some paperwork I brought with me that I should have done weeks ago. I was so focused I didn't even noticed she came out until she was blocking my papers, and as I trail up and I cant help but smile, "southern looks good on you," I say in my accent without knowing and she smiles and blushes, "why thank you precious," she says in a southern accent. I laugh, "we need to work on that accent baby, little rough and forced," I say and she laughs. I walk down the ladder towards my dads pack, and when we come into view I see my mom run up to me, "where are you going?" she asks and I look at her and smile, "relax, I am taking princess here to my ranch in Alaska. She has been wanting to go but she never thought I would say yes so this morning I asked her and she said yes," I say and my mum looks at her and smiles.

My mum pulls me aside and I turn to my mate, "ill meet you at your parents cabin," I say and she nods her head and runs up to me and kisses me. I don't hesitate and kiss her back, "I love you," she says and I smile and kiss her one more time, "I love you too princess," I say and she smiles and runs to her parents cabin. I walk with my mum into my parents cabin and sit down, "why do I feel like I am about to be interrogated?" I ask. My mum looks at me with a smirk, "I noticed my engagement ring was missing," she says and I roll my eyes and pull it out of my pocket, "thanks for reminding me, I came to give this to you. I figured you would want it back now that you are back from the dead," I say as I hand her the ring.

She looks at me shocked, "mum I got a ring already for her, I wasn't gonna use yours but the design of hers is inspired by yours," I say and she looks at me with teary eyes, "I didn't think I would see you again so I asked dad for your ring and took it to my jeweler in Alaska and he designed one similar to yours but different at the same time," I say and she walks over to me and hugs me. She started crying in my arms, "mum what's wrong?" I ask and she shakes her head, "nothing baby, I am just happy for you," she says and I hug her close. I roll my eyes at my brother and mouth 'this is your fault' I say and he just chuckles, "mum," I say and she replies, "yes?" and I sigh, "do you want to see the ring?" I ask and she pulls away. She looks at me with shock and excitement, "yes I want to see it," she yells and I laugh and pull it out of my pocket.

I hand her the box and she opens it and gasps, "Juneau this is beautiful," she says and shows my brother, "how did you come up with this sis?" he asks. I laugh, "Rain has always liked the southern style and when she found mums ring with the camo she mentioned wanting deer antlers," I say and he nods his head, "has she ever hunted?" he asks and I shake my head, "no but she did she had her room decorated with southern stuff and she had the deer skull and deer antlers hanging in her room," I say and he nods his head. My dad comes out and looks at me, "going to the ranch?" he asks and I nod my head. He nods his and walks over to my mum, "why don't we throw a little country themed party?" he asks and I nod my head and look at my brother, "still know how to line dance?" I ask and he smirks, "of course I do," he says and I laugh.

I say bye to my parents and brother and head to pick up my mate, and when I get there I see her open the door, "it's about time, I thought you left without me," she says with a pout and I laugh, "I would never," I say with my accent. I see her father walk over to the door, "have fun," he says and I nod my head to him and he links me, "good luck future daughter in law" he says and smirks at me and I smile. I grab her hand and walk to where Megan got my truck for me, "its in one piece I promise," she says and I laugh as I look at it, "thanks see you two later tonight. My dad is throwing a country themed party and there will be line dancing," I say and she smiles and nods her head. I open my mates door and then climb in on my side, "ready?" I ask and she nods her head. I let her play some music as we drive and I am surprised she knows so many country songs.
