They're Driving Me Crazy!

Convention

Andy, Matt, Connor, and I were talking in our group chat about a anime convention coming up. We were trying to find someone to give us a ride to it since it was in a different state, it would only take a couple hours. It lasted two days and it was on the weekend. We had all been saving up since we saw something about it and we had enough for weekend passes and to buy anything we wanted while we were there.

The only thing was, we didn't have a ride. Andy's parents said he could go but only if they knew the person taking us because they didn't want to take us since they didn't have much interest in it. Matt's dad doesn't care if he goes but he doesn't want to take us. Connor's mom has something planned that weekend but doesn't care if he goes. Now our only hope was Coby.

This was gonna take so much convincing.

Andyman: come on Maddy coach Daron is our last hope
Me: ok I'm not obi wan canobi I'm gonna try
Matttt: TRY WEVE BEEN SAVING UP FOR MONTHS COME ON MADDY
Me: OK DAMN

With that, I set off on my quest to convince my brother to take us to this anime convention.

"Heeeyyy, Cobyyy." I said as I walked into his room. His door was open and he was sitting on his bed grading some papers.

"What?" He asked skeptically.

I sat on the bed in front of him and tried my best puppy dog eyes, trying to get him to say yes. "Sooo..there's this anime convention coming up the week after next."

"Let me stop you right there." Coby held his hand up. "I am not taking you to anime convention."

"You wouldn't just be taking me." I said and gave a nervous smile. "You'd be taking Andy, Matt, Connor, AND me." I smiled.

Coby facepalmed and looked at me. "Are you kidding me? You guys wouldn't even have the money to buy anything on such short notice." He said.

"Now let ME stop you right there." I smirked. "We've been saving up for months since we found out about the convention." I said proudly.

"Hold on. Let me get this straight. You guys have been saving up for a convention you might not even get to go to?"

"Yes."

"Well at least you guys are prepared." He rubbed his temple and then sighed. "Fine. I guess I'll take y'all." He said reluctantly.

I cheered. "Yes! Thank you Coby!" I smiled and lay down next to him while he grades more papers.

Me: HE SAID YES
Andyman: YES
Matttt: FUCK YEA
Connor from Cyberlife: WE GOTTA GET OUR COSPLAYS ORDERED
Me: shit I forgot about that we're still going as that group cosplay right
Matttt: the group from jujutsu kaisen
Connor from Cyberlife: yes
Me: ok I'm gonna get mine ordered today
Connor from Cyberlife: me too
Matttt: same
Andyman: yeah

I looked at Coby for a minute before he looked at me using his peripheral vision. "What?" He asked.

"I still have to order my cosplay." I said.

"You're costume? What is it?" He asked.

"Yes my cOsTuMe. It's an anime character and you can order it off Amazon." I said.

Coby switched a tab to Amazon and looked at me expectantly. I typed in the characters name: Nobara Kugusaki. "I can't even pronounce that." Coby said.
