Third POV

The Narnians charge through the courtyard, and start fighting. Up top, a Telmarine with a crossbow aims in the direction of Peter and Annie. Edmund slides down and knocks the soldier over, unaware of the other archers beside him. Peter looks up in time to see this.

"Ed!" Peter called out, warning his brother.

Edmund looks to his left and sees the other Telmarines with crossbows. He dives into a room and kicks the door shut just in time to avoid the arrows. Annie, Peter, and Tyrus, a satyr, start fighting their way up to Miraz' balcony. Tyrus jumps and raises his weapon, hoping to kill Miraz but Glozelle, coming out from behind him, shoots him in the shoulder. Miraz slowly walks over to Tyrus and pushed him ever-so-slightly. Peter and Annie watch as the satyr tumbles down and hits the ground hard.

Miraz turned to his trusted General. "Get that gate closed!" He commanded.

The gate starts closing soon after. But Asterius, a large minotaur, runs over and holds the gate open. Peter and Annie see this and spring into action.

Annie's POV

"Fall back!" Peter yelled to the Narnians.

"Retreat!" I yelled as well, running around and yelling it in every direction.

I could see Susan on Glemstorm's back so I knew she was safe. I could see Ed's griffin near him so I knew he was too.

Caspian and the professor emerged from the stable with horses, giving one to Peter.

"Will?!" I started shouted my son's name. My mother instincts kicked in and I started thinking the worst.

"Where's Will?!" I shouted towards Peter, who looked around frantically therefore answering my question.

"You look for him down here, I'll look from above!" I shouted over and he nodded.

I whistled for a griffin and one flew down to me. I swung on top of it and started the search for my son. Looking through the running chaos, I couldn't spot him from above but I saw Peter riding towards the exit. Since he was leaving, he must've found him. Everyone was running towards the woods again so I could only assume that he was leading them back or amongst them.

I looked back to see Peter barely make it out before Asterius collapsed. The gate shutting with a large noise, many Narnians are still trapped inside. I looked in horror at the realization that they were going to die... and I was helpless to stop it. The Great Warrior, powerless. And as they were on a cliff, I couldn't call out to the trees to help...

Glenstorm nods to one of his sons. The draw-bridge started going up. Holding back tears, I looked away only to see Peter doing the same. Edmund and his griffin flew next to me as we flew back to the How.

-----

Ed and I arrived back at the How, seeing that everyone who was left were already there. Ed and I could feel the tension in the air as soon as we landing. We could hear Peter and Caspian arguing.

"Hey! I am not the one who abandoned Narnia!" Caspian shot at him.

"You invaded Narnia! You have no more right to it than Miraz does! You, him, your father... Narnia's better off without the lot of you!" Peter yelled back.

Caspian shouted at him and drew his sword but Peter was quick and drew his a well, meeting his in the middle with a loud clash.

"Stop it!" Both Ed and I shouted.

Our attention was brought elsewhere when Glenstorm set down an injured Trumpkin. Lucy ran over to him and gave him a drop of her cordial.

He awoke with a gasp and opened his eyes. He looked around and saw the numbers we had left.
