Annie's POV

Lucy, Peter, and I were sitting in the stone table room, the ice melting around us.

I was sitting in between Peter's legs, leaning against his chest while he was leaning against the stone table. Lucy was sitting next to us, looking down and picking at her dress.

I could feel Peter staring at the carving of Aslan.

"You're lucky, you know." Peter said to his sister.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"To have seen him. I wish he'd just give me some kind of proof." Peter wished.

"Maybe we're the ones who need to prove ourselves to him." I say to him, wishing I could've seen him too.

It was then that Ed ran into the room, breathing heavily. "Pete, Annie, you'd better come quickly." He said with a nervous tone.

Peter, Lucy, and I all ran outside and saw the Telmarine army approaching, all wearing silver armor. However, there was one person that stood out among them, a man wearing gold armor.

Miraz

I wanted to hurt this man. You ask me to make a chart of all the villains and bad guys I've fought -- this guy's at the top, even beating Jadis. This monster took my son from me. And I wasn't about to let that slide. I wanted to kill this man, I wanted to make him pay.

"Gather everyone in the stone table room. It's time to end this." Peter spoke, determined beyond expression.

-----

"Cakes and kettledrums! That's your next big plan?! Sending a little girl alone into the darkest parts of the forest alone?!

"It's our only chance." Peter stressed.

"And she won't be alone." Susan informed him.

"Haven't enough of us died already?" Trumpkin exasperated.

"Will, Tyrus, and Asterius will always be remembered." Trufflehunter spoke.

I looked down and tried to keep the tears from forming in my eyes. Peter grabbed my hand and squeezed it, comforting me.

"We have to keep our faith and hope in Aslan." Peter spoke.

"For Aslan." Reepicheep cheered.

"For Aslan!" Bulgy Bear cheered after.

"I'm going with you." Trumpkin stated but Lucy was quick to shut him down.

"No, we need you here." Lucy said to him.

"We have to hold them off until Lucy and Susan get back." Peter explained.

"If I may..." Caspian steps in, "Miraz may be a tyrant and a murderer. But as king, he is subject to the traditions and expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy is some time."

"What did you have in mind?" Peter asked.

-----

I watched as Edmund, Glenstorm, and Wimbleweather walked away from the How to go to the Telmarine camp and present the dueling challenge.

I was standing at the top of the How where I first saw my son. I wanted to cry so bad, but it seemed that I physically couldn't cry anymore.

I sat down where he once was and called for an apple in the tree next to me, just as he did before. An apple was placed in my hand and I thanked the tree with a nod.

I sat there and meditated, feeling the trees and listening to them, something I hadn't done in awhile. I could feel their anticipation and fear due to all of the events. I could hear their memories of everything.
