The boy's POV
The boy's lips quivered from the thought of waking up. His bed felt so cozy and warm. Releasing a soft groan, the boy lifted himself to look out the window, it was a somewhat sunny day with a moderate level of people outside. The boy's mom and dad were out again, they were always busy.

"I have to find something to do with my life" the boy grumbled and pushed his blanket aside. He walked over to his closet, revealing a variety of clothing from different brands, colors, styles, and cuttings. The boy froze for a second then started tugging clothes out of the closet, placing different clothing pieces together to figure out which one worked best with which. Then he had it. A white shirt, with a black vest underneath, short jeans, black ankle socks, and white sneakers. The boy stared at the mirror to finalize his look before packing his backpack. He didn't know where he was going, nor did he care. All he wanted to do was get a breath of fresh air.

"Different is okay." He whispered before turning the doorknob, the bright blue sky with sounds of people mingling ricocheted against the walls of the houses, creating a somewhat odd harmony. A soft smile peaked from the corners of the boy's lips as his adventure was about to begin. The boy hummed a tune as he made his way to a nearby alleyway.

Unexpectedly, a dimness surrounded the boy. The rays of sunshine were no longer blinding. And the sound of mingling faded into distant whispers. The boy looked up to see a group of people huddled together. A family. A community.

"H-hello" the boy broke a smile, holding onto his bag. The boy had heard that communities would steal tourists' bags in foreign countries. Unfortunately, he was a tourist. A voice spoke from the group, yet it was a weak and cold voice. A voice that was too tired and fragile to make out any words that they were saying. A young girl pointed to her stomach and did a begging motion.

"Oh... would you like some food?" the boy lowered to make himself seem less menacing to the timid creature. The young girl did not reply but repeated her begging motions. A nod of understanding was shared between the two before the boy walked out the alleyway. However, this was stopped by an abrupt pulling at his wrist. The girl. The girl held onto his wrist, her face filled with anguish and hunger. The boy was taken by surprise, causing him to kneel once again as he offered his hand to her. The girl forced a smile before holding onto his hand and following him out the alley.

The town was bustling with townspeople, but the boy held the little girl close to him.

"Don't worry" the boy reassured, "a bakery is nearby". The girl did not understand anything he was saying, but she simply followed.

Alberto's POV
"Just make sure to stay until the next shift arrives"

Alberto nodded as the man handed him a whistle.

Lifeguard duty.

"Hey! No playing on the rocks!" Alberto blew his whistle, pointing towards the kids who were trying to wrestle on top of a giant boulder to see who would fall into the water first. "No riding bikes on the beach!" Alberto yelled and turned around, rolling his eyes with annoyance.

Another voice spoke from behind Alberto.

"E-e-excuse m-me......" a little boy, around the age of 5 spoke, his voice trembling with fear. "M-m my name is Tony, I-I..... I lost my mom" the little boy's voice trembled even more before tears started to trickle down his soft cheeks.

"Hey hey hey! Don't cry, let's find her together ok?" Alberto offered a hand with a reassuring smile. The little kid held onto his hand before following him to the lifeguard duty post. "Hmmm... Let's play a game" Alberto said.
