I was getting irritated, I hated waiting on people and I hated when I was waiting on someone and they decided they didn't want to answer their phone; we really could've taken care of this later if De'Vaugh would've just answered his phone but even that was asking too much. I just wanted to be home, then again I needed to escape Lucci.... if he wasn't out searching for Fiorello then he was trying his hardest to get me to break and today was the closest he's gotten. I checked my watch again and tried calling De'Vaugh again, see I was about to snap, I was already dealing with a lot; trying to get this new studio opened, Natalie, and some shyt with my brother that..... I had to remember that Supreme liked to handle things on his own and I couldn't interfere, but if I had to take another trip up to Seattle, it wasn't going to be pretty. I checked my phone, responded to some text from some business partners, and decided I was going to pull up on De'Vaugh since he wanted to waste my time.... When I got to his building police were everywhere and I started getting nervous. I tried calling him again, fearing the worst, now I wasn't even mad... I was worried about my boy, finally, De'Vaugh answered, relief... then anger flowed through me when he hit me with the 'lemme call you right back' line; I parked my car a few blocks away then made my way back to De'Vaugh's building...

"I told y'all I don't know what happened, I was getting in my car... some dudes tried to rob me.... someone shot them and ran off.... My guess is they robbed someone before me and they came back for revenge.... it all happened so fast that I couldn't process everything." De'Vaugh was telling the police. "Look y'all checked my hands for gunpowder residue... that should prove that I didn't shoot dude.... I don't even know him." De'Vaugh noticed me standing off to the side and said something about his lawyer.

"You good?" I whispered and he nodded. "I recognize him... I seen him with Omari a few times, he's one of the leeches that Omari pays... paid for protection but I always found him to be kinda soft...." I said looking as the police looked like they were in no hurry to move the dude's body. "I'm guessing this is why you were late?" I asked and De'Vaugh nodded.

"Look can we talk later? I'm kinda busy and who knows how long this will take.... did you bring the papers?" De'Vaugh asked and I nodded. I didn't have the best relationship with the police so after giving the papers to De'Vaugh I figured it would be best if I disappeared, two of the cops recognized me and started walking over in my direction but I walked off because this wasn't my mess and I wasn't answering any questions.

This shyt with De'Vaugh wasn't random... and while it seemed like a hit, I didn't entirely subscribe to that it, someone was definitely trying to send a message and my money was on Omari. I drove back to my house and as I pulled into the driveway I took a deep breath, Lucci would be in there waiting for me, and given how he's been acting the past few days...... I was pretty sure he'd had heard about what happened at De'Vaugh's place since news around their friend group tended to spread pretty fast.... I walked inside and my boy Henny was sitting on the couch in his boxer (that was common) but what really annoyed me was Lucci walking around with his ass out...... He knew how I felt about that shyt.

"Ayy Lucci let me talk to you real quick...." I said walking towards the stairs and even with my back to him, I could feel him smirking behind my back. We got up to my bedroom and as I sat on the bed I looked at him.... he was wearing some shorts with his ass hanging out, the shirt he was wearing clung to his body tightly, and even from across the room I could smell his sweet cologne. "What did I tell you about that shyt?" I asked looking at him.

"So what? Now I got a fuckin dress code while I'm over here.... look if I want to be told what to do I would take my ass back home." Lucci said with a little too much attitude for my liking, how was he the one in the wrong and the one with an attitude.

"Nah you don't have a dress code but come on.... you walking around with your ass out in front of my boy... You don't think that's disrespectful as fuck?" I asked rhetorically.
