Ch. 19: The Cat's Out of the Bag... The Day of the Concert

Otoya, Syo, Fuuto, Aratra, and Tsubasa looked at us expectantly.

"When were going to tell us you were dating?" Arata and Fuuto asked. "The last time we checked, you were still making up you mind, _____!"

"Ai!" Syo snapped. "YOU?! YOU OF ALL PEOPLE BREAKING THE RULES?!"

Otoya nodded in agreement.

"The cat's out of the bag." Ai said, standing. "If you guys are really our friends and don't want to put Shining's Agency in danger, you better keep this a secret."

They took one look at us, then looked at each other.

"Only because we care for you, _______." Fuuto and Arata said.

"I'm your friend, _______. Anything for you." Tsubasa said.

"Ai, you're such a pain." Syo snapped. "But, since you asked, I'll do it."

"I don't want to betray you guys." Otoya said. "I'll keep it a secret. I promise."

I leaned back in my chair with relief. "Arigato, minna."

*Third POV*

"Oh-ho." Yui said, peeking over. "A secret love."

She had captured a picture of Ai and _______'s kiss.

"Raging's going to love this."

I looked at my clock. 10:00 p.m.

I was so nervous. What if my voice cracked? What if I tripped? What would happen if I lost?

My heart beat was too fast. My head was spinning. I couldn't sleep.

I looked over to Ai's side of the room. The moonlight illuminated his hair and his white blankets.

He was fast asleep. So, maybe just this once. He won't notice me climbing into his bed.

I slipped out of my bed quietly and curled up next to Ai.

Suddenly, I felt blankets thrown over me, and his arms wrapping around me, enveloping me in warmth. The scent of vanilla and mint invited me to sleep.

"Oyasumi." Ai whispered. "Boku ga anata o shinjitemasu. Gambate, ________. Aishiteru."

I smiled, finally drifting off into the dream world.

*time skip*

I stood in my dressing room.

Omg, omg, omg, omg, omg, omg.... I rushed back and forth. My hair dresser wasn't here yet. I funmbled with my (fav. color) mic.

The door suddenly opened.

Ai walked in. "Sit." he commanded.

I sat infront of my mirror.

"I only know how to braid." he said, combing my hair.

I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of his hands in my hair.

"Dekkita!" he said, and I opened my eyes.

I smiled. How did he know how to braid? Even more... how did he know how to braid?

I turned around to ask him, but when I turned around, he kissed me deeply.

"You can do it." he said. "You're going to win. Everything is going to go smoothly. There is a 85% chance of you winning. Everyone else is below 15%, even Bubbles. Just becaue you were out for those few weeks didn't make you weak or fall behind. You caught up so quickly."

"But, will I really win?" I whispered.

"Yes, you will." he said. "Because I'm the one who believes in you the most."

He hugged me. "You should go join Bubbles back stage. Wish the pair luck."

I nodded. "Ai, Aishitemasu."

He smiled. "Boku, mou. No matter what happens."

Bubbles went first. With their song "Never Ever Forever."

Knigtmare went next with their song, "Resonance." (Soul Eater opening)

Then, Dark Angels went next. "Shiver" was their song. (Kuroshitsuji Opening 2)

I stepped onto stage. It was dark. There was only the spotlight, which was on me.

The audience had sparklers, which made the crowd look like a night sky.

And... I sang.

All of the competetors stood on stage. Raging's groups were giving me dirty looks while Bubbles held either on of my hands.

Bubbles' score was: 89.775

Kinghtmares' score was: 89.743

Dark Angels' score was: 90.001

I shifted from foot to foot as my score was calculated.

Bubbles hugged me as I sank to my knees and cried tears of joy. STARISH and Quartet NIght joined us on stage as Raging's groups stood off to the side. 

Suddenly, something appeared on screen that made everyone turn around.

It was a picture of Ai and I.

Yesterday.

OF us.

Kissing.

Shining and Raging appeared on stage, with Yui trailing behind them.

"Care to explain?" Raging said.
