Ch. 20: The Final Chapter

I stood, and Ai joined my side.

Raging's groups and Yui were all smirking.

Otoya, Syo, Fuuto, Arata, and even Tsubasa (who was suppose to be backstage) stood around us. The rest of STARISH and QUARTET NIGHT who didn't know about my relationship with Ai, stood behind us, dumbfounded.

"______ and I are dating." Ai announced.

"That is a violation of my rules." Shining said. "That allows me full permission to disban QUARTET NIGHT, take away Miss _________'s idol career, and make sure you never step on stage ever again."

"That much I knew according to my data." Ai said. "But, let me compromise."

Shining raised an eyebrow. "You let ____ keep her idol career, and let her take my place in QUARTET NIGHT's group. You will only banish me from the idol world, and take away my ability to sing, dance, and play an instrument throught my settings."

Shining considered it.

"Ai-Ai..." Reiji said, fighting tears.

"Mikaze..." Ranmaru and Camus whispered.

"Ai/Ai-senpai..." STARISH whispered.

"I will--" Shining started.

"IYA!" I yelled.

Everyone turned to me.

"That's not fair!" I cried. "Everyting you're saying is wrong, Ai, Shining!"

I took a deep breath. "Yes, idols belong to everyone. Everyone can love them and everyone can see them. But, what about the idol? Do they suffer from being alone? With out some one to love? I don't thinkthat's fair. Sure, an idol suffers from a strict schedule, but they're still ale to make room fo a relationship."

Shining looked at me.

"____ is right." Ren said. "Love is something you can't hold back."

STARISH stepped in front of us. "If you're going to ban our friends from the idol world, disban STARISH."

"Love is probably the most important thing in the world." Arata said. "Ban _____ and Ai, disban us, too."

"With out love, how can your fans adore you?" Ranmaru said.

"Disban QUARTET NIGHT if you disban our kohais." Reiji said.

Raging stepped back, overwhelmed. All of his prized idols abandoning their careers.... for their friends?

"Plus," Tomochika said, running up on stage. "______ won. You can't ignore the winner's final wish."

I felt a light in my heart. Something so bright and so warm, it might explode... like a firework.

Raging and Shining stood back, defeated.

I smiled, tears flowing from my eyes.

"My wish is that... if an idol finds love, be it a model, fellow idol, composer, or a fan... they will not be banned from the idol world." I turned to Ai.

He smiled down at me and squeezed my hand.

I was safe. Ai was safe. All my friends and senpais were safe.

'Who could ask for more?' I thought as I kissed Ai gently.
