"Ben, are you almost ready to go?" Minho asked as he approached the other runner, who was grabbing his bag and throwing it over his shoulders.
"Yep let's go!" he stated, the two walked to the entrance of the maze, Newt walked over,
"Minho can you-"
"Yeah well keep an eye out for her Newt..." Minho nodded, it had been about three days since Ebony had been banished, they never heard her scream, they never found her body, or any blood. They assumed a griever would eat her but something didn't feel quite right with that theory. And though none of the gladers knew of Ebony and the grievers friendship of sorts, it was in fact, fairly unrealistic of a griever to harm her with the intent to kill, considering they were programmed to kill only the gladers, and not the agents.
But Minho and Ben didn't expect to find her, at most they might find a piece of her clothing. So they continued on through the halls,
"This way." Minho stated as he and Ben ran, their steps were in sink matching the same pace, a result from years of practice. As they ran around corners they talked, about who knows what oblivious to the scene they were about to stumble there way into, turning the corner they both stopped, eyes wide at the body that lay only about ten feet from them, both were hesitant to approach fearful it was some lie some trick some game, but sure enough the note crumbled in her hand there was no doubt, she had died the same way Newt had tried so long ago, Ebony had jumped.
