FLUFF/ Boruto time line(no kids ofc)
Naruto POV
I was adjusting my position while sleeping, but I felt a sudden warmth around my waist. I opened an eye and whispered a soft "Good morning Shika." A soft groan was all I could hear in response.
3rd person POV
Shikamaru leaned closer to Naruto pressing his face into the back of Naruto's neck. "Just a few more minutes." Shikamaru said in low husky tone. Naruto slightly shivered from the feel of Shika's breath on his skin.
Naruto thought of an argument but then remembered this was Shikamaru. He sighed. "I guess it's fine since we don't have work." The sides of Shikamaru's lips turned upward slightly before chuckling. "Happy you're agreeing." He whispered kissing the back of Naruto's neck.
"Mnn~" Naruto groaned in response. "Look who's tired now." Shikamaru scoffed. "Oh be quiet." Shikamaru smiled again. "Yeah yeah, love you Naruto." A couple minutes passed by after Shikamaru spoke.
"I love you too Shika." Naruto spoke in a low whisper hoping Shikamaru was asleep by now, but the tighter grip around his waist reminded him we wasn't.
Naruto felt his chest get warm. He laid down for a while before falling asleep in Shikamaru's warm embrace.
