Sakura's phone rang and rang. Finally she awoke turning over to pick it up. Not even looking to see who it was. "Hello?" Her voice showed she was tired. She was rubbing her eye waiting for a response but just heard breathing on the other end. She pulled the phone away to see who it was before putting it back against her ear. "Sasuke? What is it?"

"S-Sakura I just to want hear you." He was slurring his words and speaking slowly.

"Sasuke? Are you smoking again?" She checked the time. "It's 2am right now. You're starting to be like this a lot. I'm really worried for you, y'know?"

"I'm sorry Sakura. I love you. I'm outside of your place. Can I come in?"

"God, why didn't you tell me that at first. I'll be right down." She hung up the phone. Rushing out her bedroom and down the stairs. She heard rain clashing against the windows making her worry more. She unlocked and opened the front door. She saw a soaking and dazed Sasuke in front of her.

He looked up. "Sakura I-"

"Don't speak." She grabbed his hand rushing him in. Closing and locking the door she focused on him. Taking his wet shirt and shoes off of him. He looked down at her the whole time with the same look he always had when this happened. It was becoming a common thing for the two of them. Walking him to the bathroom and running a bath for him. Washing him and drying him. She already had some of his clothes from when this happened before.

They both sat on her bed. He was still in a daze. He laid on her chest hugging her body. Looking down at him she started to tear up. "You need to stop doing this."

"I will stop." She knew he didn't mean it. She knew he would ignore her again once his high was gone. She knew this wouldn't stop happening. She held onto him.  She loved him but she couldn't keep doing this every month then acting like it never happened.

"I love y-"

"Don't speak." She sniffled. She didn't want to hear it. Every time this happened he would try. When he wasn't high he would never say it. Only that he hated her or she was annoying. They used to always be together as kids. She felt like she was losing her best friend. He was always letting himself get like this to let go of reality. "Don't tell me because it hurts." She said tears running down her face more rapidly.

"I know what you're trying to say Sasuke. I just.. I don't think I can handle hearing you say it if it's only when you're like this."

"Stop explaing Sakura. I know." It became silent. "It hurts me too. I don't need your reasons."

They both laid there. One crying the other trying not to.

Sasuke had been like this ever since the death of his brother. Death brought him to the secrets. He wanted his enemies to die. Even with his brothers death he thought be would be fine. His thoughts in his mind want him to fight again. He used smoking as his get away.

Only when he was high or drunk he was able to face her. After everything he had done to hurt her. She brought an end to his anxiousness. He didn't feel the same pain around her when he was like this. She was his peace but he was no longer hers.

"Sakura I'm sorry. I really am I love-"

"I don't need your reasons Sasuke." She started to cry more her voice breaking. "Just don't speak. Don't tell me because it hurts."
