Screams engulfed the ball room as people began running out.

Gunshots continued to overwhelm the room. I quickly grabbed Jessie's arm and pulled her away from the middle of the room.

We ducked down as broken glass could be heard shattering.

We ran and hid be hide the bar with Tessa and Harland by our sides.

Tessa looked petrified and Jessie looked concerned.

Very different people.

The screams stopped and all we could hear were heavy footsteps.

They kept getting closer and closer to the bar. I was so genuinely confused and terrified for Jessie's lif- my life.

Me and Tessa were next to each other in between Jessie and Harland on the outsides of us.

I still had Jessie's hand in mine and that's when the footsteps miraculously stopped.

I looked at Harland who had a eyebrow raised. Then I heard Jessie scream.

She had been ripped from my grasp and had been dragged away by the anonymous kidnapper.

I immediately stood to my feet and ran to her. The man turned around with a pistol to Jessie's head.

My heart sunk to the floor.

"Please..let her go." I begged or the man.

"On one condition." The man spoke.

"Anything." I pleaded.

"Let me kill Evelyn West."

His words hit me like a knife. Evelyn was like a mother figure to me. She taught me everything I know today.

She made me the man I am. She had never shown me anything but kindness.

"It's Evelyn or the girl." He hit Jessie's head with the gun drawing blood.

My mind raced. Evelyn was amazing to me. But I can't loose Jessie. She's to...important.

"Eve-" I was cut off by Jessie quickly grabbing the gun and the mans arm and flipping him over. She placed her heel on his chest pushing it into him.

He whined at the pain of the heel digging into his skin.

"Neither." Jessie said staring into his eyes before shooting a clean bullet into his head.

When the fuck am I going to get to save her ass. She's always saving me.

She slipped the gun back onto her thigh under her dress and walked over to us.

"Trick is, is to make them think your scared, then all of a sudden they are begging for their life underneath the pressure of your stilettos." She smirked.

"When do I get to save you Jess. Your always saving me or yourself." I scoffed at her before following her.

"Are you kidding! That was badass!" Harland exclaimed.

Tessa still seemed terrified. I'm pretty sure she's never seen something like that.

The man had shot a couple of people. They were scattered along the dance floor.

I didn't know who he was but I'm sure Don will know.

What would that man want with Evelyn anyway. She's a sweet woman. She's never harmed a fly.

Some people in the mafia surprise me. How are they so soft but also work for a organization that literally murders people.

We all left the ball room as quickly as possible to see everyone outside terrified.
