Leo
My eyes open. It's still dark out. I look over to my phone to see Jessie passed out.
I groan as I sit up. I stand up from the bed and walk over to the balcony.
As I open the door, the cool draft blows in sending me a quick shiver.
I step out and take a deep breath of the cool night air.
I lean over the rail with my forearms supporting me. I stare of at the stars.
I wonder if Jess likes the stars?
Something about the nice brings me peace. Maybe it's the silence or the darkness that comes with it, but whatever it is I hope it stays.
I have always had difficulty sleeping. Well not always but mainly after I joined this fucking mafia.
Jess has helped me along with sleeping better. But since she is only with me over a phone screen, it's been hard.
I look down to my arms to look at my tattoos. It's kind of babyish but I really want Jess to ask about them.
I really like my tattoos. They are apart of me. I want to tell her about them. Each one has a different representation of big events of my life.
Like from my first ball to my first hockey game. I used to play hockey when I wasn't trying to stop my father from beating my mother.
I lived to skate. It was the only thing that I could escape to when my father got angry.
I haven't touched a hockey stick for 3 years.
I take another sigh before standing up straight and walking back inside.
I haven't told Jessie that I have another mission tomorrow with Vanessa.
I crawl back into bed and look down at my phones screen to see Jessie writing in that book again.
"Well hi there cupcake." I smirk with a tired voice.
"Why are you up mister?" She looks at the camera and I chuckle.
"Couldn't sleep. I should've brought a pair of your pants for me to sleep with." I wink.
"Shut up." She teases.
"Whatcha writing?" I raise a brow even though I know she won't tell me.
"Nothing that concerns you." She smiled teasingly.
"Hm, we will see about that." I smirk back.
"Go to sleep." She turned back to writing.
"Why?" I whine.
"Because you deserve sleep love." Her words make me flutter.
"You do too. Why aren't you sleeping?"
"Couldn't." She replied.
"Hm. Well Jessie Rolondo. You better get some sleep." I assure her.
"Well Leo West, I don't think I will." She smiles wittingly.
I chuckle before looking at her while she writes.
"Stop staring." She warned without even looking up.
"Sorry àmore your just very pretty to look at." I smirk.
She sends me a jokingly warning glare.
"Hm I can't wait to see you my love." I smile at her.
"I can't wait either." She giggles.
"Goodnight Jess." I smiled before laying down again and allowing myself to rest.
