(Short filler chapter)

Arriving back at the wall you had trouble pulling yourself up. All the adrenaline you had seemed to have worn off. Hange held out her hands to help you up. You gave her a small smile whispering a thanks. Which she returned with a small smile of her own. As both you and her turned around to help pull up Mike. Hange stood at the edge watching Ymir being pulled up on a stretcher onto the wall. Mike tugged on the edge of your jacket and motioned for you to follow him.

"What's up Mike?"

"Listen Y/N, I'm sorry about back there. I don't know what came over me. I know this is a bad time with everything going on right now but it's..... It's just you mean a lot to me, more then you think and I know you and Levi are together an--"

You held up your hand placing your finger tips on his mouth to shut him up. "Hold up! Back up a minute sniffles... Me and Levi?! Did you hit your head? What or who in the hell gave you that idea?" Trying to hold in the laugh that wanted to escape. Your chest burning from it wanting to be released.

Mike looked to you dumbfounded "well, your always together, you've made him laugh and smile before, only you can call him Lev and you chose to be on his team instead of mine. I thought we kinda had something since we usually flirt and all. Hell we've been flirting since we met during training but I guess he's the one who won your heart."

That was it, you let it all out, or so you thought. Your laugh came out more of a wheeze as you clutched your stomach. "Mi.... Mike! My creator... No! No no no.. I'm not with Levi! Fucking clean freak.. and of course we're always together he's my best friend, I'm the only one aside from Hange who can stand his rudeness for looooong periods of time. He's just use to me since I was the only one who checked on him after his friends got taken away from him.. As for me not joining your squad I happened to see you and Nanaba sucking face in the hallway so I figured the last spot you had left should go to her."

"Wait you saw that?"

"Yes sniffles I saw, I was on my way to drop off my papers with Erwin to join your squad but after seeing that I changed it to Levi's since he asked me right after you did. Plus you know me I ain't no cock blocker. I'll admit I was kinda upset since she knew I had feeling for you but I also knew she had some for you also. She nutted up and beat me to it so I couldn't really be mad."

Mike scratch the back of his neck and sighed. "She kissed me... I was waiting for you by Erwin's office and she just grabbed my face and did it. I tried to let her down easy. I told her I saw her as a good friend and any man would be lucky to have her but she wasn't the one I wanted. Later that day Erwin told me I must have fucked up cause you chose to be on Levi's team and Nanaba was on mine since like you she didn't want her own squad."

You shook your head in amusement "Well damn... I guess we suck at communication huh?"

"I guess,.. Y/N you feel the same way about me right?"

"Mike I do, really. But can we even be something? Look at us we both almost died at least twice today. Hell the day isn't even done yet!"

"I think we can. Yeah sure we live a death sentence but I'd like to die knowing I had someone like you as mine and me your's. It doesn't matter if it's for a short amount of time cause we get killed. Or we somehow survive and end up dying in our sleep from old age. Like Hange says 'you only live once so just live life to the fullest' or something like that"

You let out a laugh " Yeah something like that....... Okay then."

"Okay then?" Mike raised his brow

" we can try it. I'll be yours sniffles. Only yours, so no need to be all jealous of Levi."

"Really?!" Mike let out probably the biggest smile you even seen on him. He grabbed your hand and kissed it before bringing you into his embrace just to bury his nose into your hair to inhale your scent. Then he looked to you and furrowed his brows, his smile turned into a small frown. "Hang on there N/N. I'm not jealous of Levi!"

"Uh huh sure you aren't. But you have to reason to worry cause between you and me" you motioned him to come closer so you can whisper in his ear "Levi wants to get folded over Erwin's desk not mine."

Miche snorted "no fucking way!... I knew it! You see all that sexual tension too?!"

" Hell yeah!" You giggled " it's so thick it puts Erwin's eyebrows to shame! They're worser than us!"

Mike hummed and shook his head. "Maybe one day the four of us could double date. That'll be a site to see."

" Ha yeah hopefully one day. Until then I guess we better go see what Hange has planned next. We're suppose to be superiors and here we are admitting our crushes and gossiping like teenagers"

Mike nodded and smiled. He intertwined his fingers with yours as you both walked hand in hand to where Hange was standing.
