When Chica came to me with the news at lunch, I was very excited.
"Really?" I asked. "Us all friends?"
Chica nodded. "Yup. And you know Freddy?"
"The boy sitting with that red-haired kid?"
"Foxy," Chica corrected, "And yes. Well, Freddy imposed that we should meet at the park."
I was stunned. I heard that park was really fun. "The one on main street?"
Chica nodded. "Mhmm. And guess what?"
"What?"
"I hear that there's a secret tunnel somewhere--" She was interrupted by two people coming in and sitting down next to us. They were Freddy and--what was his name--oh, right. Foxy. He sat down next to me.
"Hey, guys," Freddy said cheerfully, taking off his top hat and setting it down next to his lunch. "How's it going?" He turned to Chica. "Did you tell her about it? I told Foxy."
Chica nodded. "Yeah. I think she's okay with it." She looked at me, which slightly intimidated me. "You okay with it?"
I nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay with it."
Foxy raised his hand. "Can we go after school today? I have nothing planned."
Freddy shrugged. "I don't have anything planned."
"Neither do I," Chica said right after Freddy.
Everyone was looking at me. I was too busy biting into one of my sandwiches that I didn't notice the situation. I looked up awkwardly and asked, "Sorry, what was the question?"
Freddy and Chica started laughing. Foxy stared at me and them with a serious expression. I could tell he didn't like it that they were laughing at me.
"Sorry," Chica said. "We were just wondering if you have any plans after school."
"Oh--um, no, I don't have any plans."
Chica clapped her hands. "Perfect! After school, then. We can all meet at the park. Deal?"
Everyone murmured back, "Deal."

When I got to the park, Foxy was already there. He was alone on the swingset. He wasn't swinging at all. It slightly made me sad, so I walked over to him in the cold wind.
I sat down next to him on a swing. He looked at me. "Hey."
"Oh," I said. "Um, hi."
"When is everyone else coming?"
I shrugged. "Chica told me that she was carpooling with Freddy, but I'm not sure."
"I think I see them," Foxy said, his finger outstretched towards the road. I looked and saw Freddy's bright red car pull up. Chica and Freddy climbed out of the two seats facing us, waved Freddy's mom off and started walking over to us, talking to each other.
I stood up. "Let's greet them and head out to the forest. Chica told me about something in there that I think we should show you. We'll have to follow her."
"Okay," Foxy said, standing up off of the swing. He started walking alongside me as Freddy and Chica walked closer and closer.
"Hi," Chica greeted with a wave. I smiled and waved back. Once we were all together, Chica pointed out to the woods. "Let's go over there. I have something to show you all," she said with a grin.
