Chapter Twenty

The room is so quiet, not much sound, only the tapping of my foot. Yet another explanation about the oxidation numbers from my Chemistry teacher; a speech I do not pay attention much. It's not like I would need this stuff after school anyways. The only thing that matters is that the long arm of the clock will reach the cathartic number 12, meaning I can finally get out of that air lacking room.

I hear the girls in the back whispering things to each other. Their snickering and giggling seems to go past my teacher; he doesn't really care at all if we understand what he teaches us - at least that is what I think.

Chemistry is one of those fascinating subjects; there's logic, yet it is not easy. You have to think, predict and analyze. But right now my interest isn't caught, I want to eat, and talk to my friends. I already know this stuff.

[Name] [Surname]; best student in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

As the school bell finally erupted, I jolt up from my seat, shoving my notebook, pencil case and book in my bag; I rush out of the room into the corridors of the Konohagakure High School. The air here is pretty rusty, I kind of hate the smell of this building, especially after the fourth period when the guys have all PE and come out with their sweaty, yet attractive bodies. But nevertheless they smell like shit and you can't eat properly. Man, I must sound like an idiot, saying that...

The strap of my school bag slid a little bit down from my shoulder, so I swung it back in place, eyes not at front to that time. Shaking my head I suddenly feel myself slipping, well, more likely crashing against something and falling to ground; nearly. My face lands in a black shirt and I huff, and so does my kinda saviour. Now being able to stand again I gaze in his eyes, I know I am blushing, but who wouldn't?

"Jeez, [surname]-san, you should better watch out where you are going-" he muses and I roll my eyes at the boy who out of the ordinary has a smile on his lips. Odd, I must say.

"Don't worry, I will, Uchiha-kun." I reassure him and am just about to pass him to bring my belongings to my locker, when he suddenly stops me; his hand wrapping around my wrist. Raising my eyes brow I wait for him to speak up.

Sasuke seems startled, but he regains his emotionless and undeniably handsome composure. I understand why everybody is into him. Rich, athletic, attractive and a true trophy you must collect and cherish.

"Wanna hang out after school?" he questions me; he did not even look at me. I guess it's a casual talk for him. Touching my chin I move my lips, trying to form my schedule in my head.

Damn, I have a doctors appointment today!

This annoying check-ups of dentists. I already know that me and dentists will never become friends, even though I want to be in the medical plint later as well, but dentistry? - No, I rather not.

"Uh, I wish I could, but I have an appointment at 3 pm; dentist." I groan and blow up some of my [color] bangs. Sasuke frowns, he sure is not used to get "rejected"; not that I don't want him!

"Oh, well, then I guess I will chill at Naruto's then-" he waves and walks away. I lean against the wall, eyes closed; a slight headache is developing.

Now seriously, [name]. A date with Sasuke is something you might only get every thousand years. Shit on your health for once-

"Wait!" I shout at the leaving figure of the Uchiha and inhale the shitty scent of high school. Sasuke turns around and does as I said. "I guess-" I mumble peeking at my hands. "...the appointment can be postponed this time." I finish, a small, sheepish smile on my lips.
