Chapter 12

George POV

I woke up quite early. I stared up at the sky. It was clear with no clouds. (A/N Clear sky, If anyone read Warrior cats and knows what I mean.) I yawned tiredly. I got up carefully, not to wake up the other. I sighed. Why was it me to have to be born in such a messed up world? Why is everything so hard? I honestly don't know. I didn't feel tiered anymore. I was now fully awake. Though I hated to, I thought about my past. Cold and harsh flashbacks running through my head.

-FLASH BACK-

I sat beside my father, trying to seem calm. "H-Hi." I said. "Hello." my father replied, roughly. "Can I talk to you?" I asked. "Fine." he replied. "What is it?" "Uh I-Im g-gay and-" I was cut of by my father. "Your what?!" He screamed. After that he threw slurs at me, I was hit with multiple objects and threatened .

-END OF FLASH BACK-

I shivered at the endless memories flashing through my head. I held back my tears. Suddenly my hand started burning. I rolled up my sleeve and saw what was burning. One of my scars. It was there because of my father. It was burning because of the cold, harsh and rough memory. I sighed, letting it burn. It felt like it was on fire, yet I let it burn. Let the flames swallow it. Just let it be. Suddenly the pain stopped and I felt something touching my scar. It was Clay. The scar stopped burning the moment he touched it. He was now inspecting it. "Where'd you get that, Georgie?" he asked with his oh-so familiar deep voice, filled with worry. "Its nothing." I replied. He frowned but didn't push the subject. "Alright, but remember I'm always here for you." he smiled slightly. I smiled back. I truly loved him. If I only could've stayed by him forever. Oh if I only could!
