Making a deal

Annebeth's pov

I was surprised but happy when Percy said me and Nico would find Thanatos. "You ready Nico?" I asked as we locked arms. "Yeah, let's just hope dad doesn't notice us." He said as we stepped into the shadows. We reappeared in a hospital. I think we were in America. More specifically Texas. "Ok let's spread out and find Thanatos, when you see him call the other one with our coins and then shadow travel to the other. Deal?" I told Nico. He nodded and we both ran off. After a while I spotted Thanatos out of the corner of my eye but he disappeared before I got to him. Soon I felt the coin heat up and I traveled to Nico. When I got there I saw Nico and Thanatos talking. "Hello Thanatos. I assume Nico here has explained our proposition." I said while holding out my hand. Thanatos nodded. "Yes he has. He has told me about how I would actually get a decent life and how they would have some people to help me in my job. I have some requests but if they are met I would gladly join." He said. I nodded, "Very well, If you would travel with us we will take you to our meeting place." I told him as I held out my arm for him.

Soon we reappeared by Frank's old burnt down house. "We will be waiting here for two other people and one other god." I told him. Please take this coin. When it heats up please return here. And before you go I need you to swear on Chaos's name that you will not mention this to anyone unless they are a part of the Apocalypse." I said pointing a finger at him. "I Thanatos Swear on the Creator Chaos's name that I will not tell anyone about what has transpired unless they are a part of the Apocalypse." He finished as the sun went out for a second. And a loud booming noise was heard. "Thank you very much. You may get back to your job." I said as he disappeared. I decided to use this time to study up more on the gods so we had a better idea on who we could kill next and how.

After about an hour of waiting Percy and Piper showed up with Leto. "Hey!" Percy said cheerfully. "How'd it go with Thanatos?" Piper asked. "Oh it went great, we were just waiting for you." Nico said as he pressed the coin, suddenly in a flash of black Thanatos appeared. "Nice to see you again Thanatos." Percy said, holding his hand out. " Leto this is Thanatos the god of death and basically the grim reaper. Thanatos this is Leto the goddess of childbirth and mothers as well as the mother of the twin archers." Percy told them as the two gods shook hands. "Very nice to meet you Thanatos. I've heard very good things about you from young Perseus." Leto said while looking fondly at Percy. I pulled him over to the side. "What happened with Leto?" I asked wondering why she was acting so fondly towards him. "Oh well I just told her what happened to us. And offered her the chance to leave her island and a spot on the new council." He told me. "She felt bad about what happened to us and decided that she would act like our mom while we were out here." He told me. "Wait our mom?" I said as my eyebrows furrowed. "Yeah, all of us demigods." He replied before giving me a peck on the cheek. "Come on Annie." He said with a smirk before dodging my swinging fist. I followed after him.

"So do we have a deal?" Percy asked the two gods. "Yes we do." Leto said immediately. "I have one request on top of the other things promised to me." Thanatos said, looking directly at Percy. "I was told you were the one I had to ask." He continued. "Sure what is it?" Percy asked. "I would like to be able to have children if I wish." He said shocking me and Nico. "Of course but please if you are to have demigods stay with the mother and be there for your children. When we have new rulers any mortal you have an affair with will be considered your partner until they pass away and there will be no cheating on your partner. If you do, you will be cast from Olympus and revoked of your godhood." Percy said, facing Thanatos looking him in his eyes. "I agree to your terms. I have no intention of cheating or leaving my partner." Thanatos said while holding out his hand. Percy took it and shook it. This interaction had reminded me just how much of a leader he was and why he was chosen to lead us all. "Now I know it may seem like we don't trust you but because of the gods' betrayal I need you both to swear on Chaos's name that you won't ever betray us in any way." Percy said calmly. "We understand." Leto and Thanatos said at the same time, as they both swore to Chaos. Percy nodded. "Now we can head back to the campsite." Piper said. As me and Percy held out our hands for Piper, Nico, Leto and Thanatos. They all grabbed our hands as Percy and I shadow traveled us back to Alaska.

"Welcome to our camp!" Piper said as we stepped out of the shadows. Everyone but Frank and Thalia came to see what was going on. When they saw us they came up to us. Kym and Iris came out from inside the house where we decided that all the gods would stay. The rest of us lived in the tents Thalia had stolen from the hunters. "Leto, Thanatos, Meet Iris and my sister Kym." Percy said as the gods shook hands. "All of you are going to help us take down the gods who currently rule. All of you will get your promised rewards once the war is over." I said as I went back to my tent. Percy followed. "Geez gods are so hard to handle. I just want this to end. I'm so tired." Percy said as he laid his head on my shoulder. "You should sleep. You haven't had sleep in three days." I told him as I helped him to his bed. "Come sleep with me. You haven't slept in two days." He said as he pulled me to the bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep. What I didn't know was that Percy wouldn't sleep for another four days.
