I found Adrian seated on the table beside the air conditioner, with two Starbucks on the tray he has on his table. The moment I walked in, he motioned for me to come to the table already, as if he knows the exact time I'll be arriving at Starbucks. It's pretty cool, though. I didn't even bother checking my phone; I know loads of them came from Sara, Tracy and Rica.
I took the seat across him, and he greeted me with a playful smile. "Happy Cupid's Day."
I grinned back at him, shaking off the image of Lucas in my mind. "Happy Cupid's Day."
"Here's your peppermint mocha, you'll be needing a lot of energy this day." He said, winking after the statement. I noticed that the cup was labeled Bella which made me smile. No matter how non-cliché Adrian is most of the times, when his sweet side shows, he never fails to make me smile.
"Bella, huh?" I asked, smirking.
"Yeah, and I'm Edward." He replied with a smirk. "We'll be vampires today."
I let out a small laugh. "What are we going to do? Suck the blood out of every animal?"
"No," he said. "But we're going to stay up all night just like the Vampires." He gave me a look that might probably say he he he in a text.
"Tell me at least," I said. "Where we're going."
Adrian took a sip from his green mint, shaking his head. "No, I'm so sorry. But it's a surprise adventure."
"Okay," I spoke, taking a sip from my peppermint mocha. "Then I won't give your gift now."
Adrian flashed me a menacing grin. "Save it for later, Santa."
I raised one eyebrow at him playfully. "Fine, but at least tell me when are we leaving."
Adrian, who wasn't even halfway finished with his green mint, stood up with his Starbucks on his left hand. Using his right hand, he pulled me up, while I clutched my Starbucks on my hand.
"Now, Princess."

"Oh my gosh, Adrian, are you serious?!" I spoke loudly, dropping the empty cup of Starbucks from my hand.
Adrian laughed at my actions. "Hey, that's littering." But right after he said that, he dropped his cup as well, which only made me join his laughter.
"But seriously, Adrian," I said, breathing out the view laid in front of my eyes. "This is--I can't put any right adjective for this. But this is just... something."
"Sunset's always the best view, aside from sunrise." Adrian stated. "So, instead of watching the sunset from the usual places, why not use the zip line while the sun sets."
I gave him a bear hug, while resting my face on his neck. He gave a soft laugh and held my hand.
"You're the best." I mumbled, though my voice came out muffled.
"I know I am," he joked. "Now come on, we won't want the sun to wait, eh?"
Ignoring the reminder of Lucas' teary face which constantly pops in my head minute after minute, I followed Adrian to the main booth of the zip line. His arm was smoothly draped around me, and my arm was hugging his torso. We were walking like that towards the booth, Adrian cracking up a joke or two on the way as usual, making us look crazy with the other couples who were passing by to just watch the sunset.
Adrian and I pretty made it obvious that we were a couple, only that we don't seem to act all lovey-dovey unlike the others. When we lined up for the zip line, some people stared weirdly at us, but both of us could just care less.
